Arrest Report - February 29, 2016

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72 hour weekend reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 106 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Schuyler Williams, 24, 1710 Harry D. Street, Lot #10, Patterson, LA was arrested on February 26, 2016 at 10:11 am on a warrant for failure to failure to maintain special identification card as a sex offender. Williams was convicted of carnal knowledge of a juvenile in 2014 in St. Mary Parish. A detective of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Compliance Division conducted a compliance check found that Williams failed to renew his ID card. A deputy with the Warrants Division located Williams at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin on the warrant and transported him to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Ivy Hebert, Jr., 22, Samuel Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on February 26, 2016 at 3:13 pm on the following warrants:

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of expired motor vehicle inspection and improper lane usage

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of methamphetamine, illegal use/possession/control of weapons – crime of violence/CDS, possession of hydrocodone, possession of clonazepam, possession/distribution/sale of legend drug without a prescription, and possession of amphetamine…

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges possession of methamphetamine, illegal use/possession/control of weapons – crime of violence/CDS, possession of hydrocodone, possession of clonazepam, possession/distribution/sale of legend drug without a prescription, and possession of amphetamine…

Hebert was turned in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on bond forfeiture by a bounty hunter. During booking, the correctional officer located the active warrants for his arrest. No bail is set.

 

Daniel Scully, 41, 618 Belanger Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 26, 2016 at 7:25 pm for disturbing the peace (intoxicated) and criminal trespass. A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista, observed a male subject walking through yards in the Sunset Street neighborhood and into the back yard of a residence on Bergeron Street. The deputy made contact with the subject, identified as Scully, and smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. Following the investigation, the deputy transported Scully to the parish jail for booking. Scully was released on a summons to appear in court on May 4, 2016.

 

David J. Ray, 21, 157 North Bay Road, Pierre Part, LA was arrested on February 27, 2016 at 12:02 am for reckless operation of a vehicle. A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle accelerate out of a parking lot onto Highway 182 causing the tires of the vehicle to lose traction. The deputy observed the driver peel out a second time from Highway 182 onto Universe Road and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, Ray, and following the traffic stop investigation released him on a summons to appear in court on May 4, 2016.

 

Joel Bullock, Jr., 49, 169 Elaine Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 27, 2016 at 1:47 am for disturbing the peace (fighting).

Shenna Hebert, 31, 107 Ryne Court, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 27, 2016 at 1:47 am for disturbing the peace (fighting).

A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a bar in Amelia. During the course of the investigation, the deputy collected evidence indicating that Bullock and Hebert engaged in a fistic encounter inside the business. Both subjects were transported to the parish jail for booking. Both were released on a summons to appear in court on May 4, 2016.

 

Dallas Brown, 22, 613 Peqout Creek Road, Charenton, LA was arrested on February 27, 2016 at 4:39 am for hit and run driving. A deputy responded to a report of a hit and run incident on Highway 87 in Charenton. The deputy gathered evidence indicating that Brown left the scene of the crash after his vehicle was rear ended. Brown was located approximately a mile from the site of the crash. Following the investigation, Brown was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was released on a summons to appear in court on May 4, 2016.

 

Leslie Matthews, 41, 178 Friendship Alley, Amelia, LA was arrested on February 27, 2016 at 6:56 am on 4 warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of probation. A deputy patrolling Amelia made contact with Matthews and located the active warrants for his arrest. Matthews was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Leigh M. Welch, 35, 3600 Kaliste Saloom Road Apt. 319, Lafayette, LA was arrested on February 27, 2016 at 8:05 pm for driving while intoxicated, speeding, and improper lane usage. A deputy traveling on Highway 90 in the Patterson area observed a vehicle speeding 77 miles per hour in a posted 65 mile per hour zone. The deputy also observed the vehicle swerving from lane to lane and off of the roadway. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Welch. The deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath and person and conducted a field sobriety test on which Welch performed poorly. Welch later registered a 0.163g% blood alcohol concentration on a breath test. The deputy transported Welch to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Kahydeisha L. Wesley, 22, 354 Easy Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on February 28, 2016 at 6:09 pm for reckless operation of a vehicle and resisting a police officer. A deputy patrolling the Franklin area observed the driver of a vehicle pass another vehicle at a high rate of speed in a no passing zone on Irish Bend Road. The deputy noted that the passing maneuver occurred in the curve of the roadway in a residential area where there is a high volume of foot traffic. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Wesley. During Wesley’s arrest, she repeatedly pulled away from the deputy. Wesley was transported to the parish jail for booking. Wesley was released on a $1,500 bond.

 

Dorian Kennedy, 35, 744 Mallard Road, Luling, LA was arrested on February 29, 2016 at 12:49 am for the following offenses:

- Possession of Schedule I

- Violation of a uniform controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)

- Warrant for domestic abuse battery (strangulation) and aggravated assault

- Warrant from Lafourche Parish warrant for contempt of court

A deputy located Kennedy at a business in Morgan City on the warrants. During a search of Kennedy, the deputy located a cellophane baggie containing marijuana. The drugs were located within 2,000 feet of a school. The warrant for domestic abuse and aggravated assault stems from a January 19, 2016 investigation into a report of domestic abuse that had occurred at a residence in Siracusa. Deputies collected evidence indicating that Kennedy struck a female victim in the face and grabbed the victim by the throat choking her. Kennedy was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Juan Santiago, 34, 1406 Acadian Drive, Houma, LA was arrested on February 29, 2016 at 3:55 am for the following offenses:

- Speeding

- Unlawful production, manufacturing, distribution, or possession of fraudulent documents

- Possession of Schedule II (cocaine)

- Possession of drug paraphernalia

- No driver’s license

A deputy traveling Highway 90 in the Berwick area observed a vehicle speeding 70 miles per hour in a posted 55 mile per hour zone and conducted a traffic stop near Universe Road. The deputy made contact with the driver, Santiago, who produced a fake identification card. Also, during the traffic stop investigation, the deputy located a scale inside the vehicle with a white powdery substance on it. The substance tested positive for cocaine. Santiago was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
