According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 36 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Joseph Percle, 27, Solar Apartments #29 Highway 182, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 7, 2014 for disturbing the peace, simple criminal damage to property, a warrant for failure to appear and on a Morgan City warrant for simple battery involving domestic violence. While investigating a separate complaint at Teche Regional Medical Center, a deputy made contact with a highly intoxicated subject identified as Percle. The deputy learned that Percle held active warrants for his arrest. While escorting Percle from the facility, Percle began yelling and cursing. While being transported to the parish jail, Percle kicked a window of the police unit causing damage to it. Percle was booked into the parish jail. Bail is set at $2,692.
Scott Louviere, 29, 1370 Irish Bend Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on August 7, 2014 at 10:12 pm on a warrant for failure to appear. A deputy made contact with Louviere at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin. The deputy transported Louviere to the parish jail for booking. Louviere was released on a personal surety bond.
Dylan Pittman, 23, 806 Belanger Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 7, 2014 at 11:05 am on a warrant for failure to appear. A deputy made contact with Pittman at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City. The deputy transported Pittman to the parish jail for booking. Pittman was later released on a $5,000 bond.
Josiah J. Parker, 20, 407 Leo Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 7, 2014 at 3:03 pm for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of probation. A deputy made contact with Parker at a medical facility in Morgan City. The deputy transported Parker to the parish jail for booking. Parker was later released on a $10,000 bond.
Tander R. McDaniel, 47, 1301 Percy Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on August 7, 2014 at 3:30 pm on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy made contact with McDaniel during a traffic stop on Chatsworth Road in Franklin and learned of the warrant for her arrest. The deputy released McDaniel on a summons to appear in court on November 14, 2014.
Stanley Butler, Jr., 35, 131 Roy’s Lane, Centerville, LA was arrested on August 7, 2014 at 5:30 pm on a warrant for failure to appear. During a booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a deputy learned that Butler held an active warrant. Bail is set at $7,100.
According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:
Yvonne Vilo, 56, 902 Washington Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 7, 2014 at 2:16 pm on a warrant for possession of Schedule IV (Soma). Narcotics detectives received information from probation and parole who were at the Berwick Police Department regarding a subject being held who had an active warrant for arrest. Detectives transported Vilo from the Berwick PD to the parish jail on the warrant. Bail is set at $2,000.
Damenn M. Engleton, 25, 3718 King Street, New Iberia, LA was arrested at 4:58 pm on August 7, 2014 for possession of Schedule I drugs (synthetic cannabinoids), no drivers license, and failure to signal. Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division were patrolling the Morgan City area when they observed a vehicle fail to properly signal a turn. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Engleton. Detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located synthetic cannabinoids. Detectives also discovered that Engleton had no valid driver’s license on file. Engleton was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
