Arrest Report - January 8, 2016

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 34 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Anthony Wilson, Jr., 20, 629 Second Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 7, 2016 at 9:50 am for the following offenses:

- Warrant for hit and run driving, reckless operation of a vehicle with a crash, criminal damage to property, driving under suspension, and possession of Schedule I (marijuana)

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, driver must be licenses, and failure to honor written promise to appear

On January 5, 2016, a deputy responded to a single vehicle crash on Highway 83 in the Ashton area. Upon arrival the deputy observed a car overturned on its side off of the roadway. The deputy gathered information indicating that Wilson was driving the vehicle when he lost control of the car. Wilson then left the scene of the crash. The deputy also found that 4 residential mailboxes were damaged in the crash. A warrant was issued for Wilson’s arrest. Wilson turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Wilson was released on a $1,820 bond.

 

Preston Wade, 25, 1048 Ciro Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 7, 2016 at 3:49 pm for aggravated battery and simple battery. A jailer at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville observed two offenders fighting in a dorm. The two inmates were immediately removed from the dorm. The offenders were then assessed and released by medical personnel. During the subsequent investigation, the deputy learned that Wade bit another inmate and scratched the victim with a pencil causing minor injuries. No bail is set.  

 

Carl Kraemer, 51, 710 Kelli Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on January 7, 2016 at 4:28 pm on a warrant for the charges of prohibited splitting of profits, fees, or commission. Kraemer turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Kraemer was released on a $50,000 bond.
