Arrest Report - December 22, 2015

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

Kacy Norman, 30, 32665 Bayou Sorrel Road, Plaquemine, LA was additionally charged on December 21, 2015 at 12:37 pm on a warrant for operation of a clandestine laboratory. Narcotics detectives received information that methamphetamine was being produced in a wooded area off of Highway 182 in Amelia. Detectives searched the location and found 8 one-pot methamphetamine labs as well as other items used to make the illegal drug. Detectives contacted crime and death scene cleaners, Xtreme Cleaners, who properly disposed of the labs. Continuing the investigation, the detective learned that Norman assisted Lee Boudreaux in making methamphetamine. Boudreaux was arrested on December 17, 2015 in this case. Norman admitted to detectives that she purchased cold medicine for Boudreaux to make meth in exchange for a small amount of the drug. Detectives obtained a warrant for her arrest. Norman was already incarcerated at the Morgan City Police Department jail. No bail is set.

 

 

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 38 complaints and reports the following arrests:

                

Charles L. Merritt, 36, 404 Williams Street, Patterson, LA was additionally charged on 2 warrants for failure to register as a sex offender and failure to obtain a special identification card as a sex offender. In 2005, Merritt was convicted in St. Mary Parish of indecent behavior with juveniles. Merritt failed to meet sex offender registration requirements and detectives with the St. Mary parish Sex Offender Compliance Division obtained warrants for his arrest. Merritt was already incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail is set.

 

Leonard Allen, Jr., 49, 422 Seventh Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 21, 2015 at 10:51 am on 2 warrants for failure to appear on the charges of criminal neglect of family. A jailer transported Allen from the Lafayette Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrants. Bail is set at $7,287.60.

 

Andrew P. Hebert, 23, 3032 Main Highway, Breaux Bridge, LA was arrested on December 21, 2015 at 10:50 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods. A jailer transported Hebert from the Lafayette Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. No bail is set.

 

Cody B. Sons, 20, 319 Clark Road Lot #1, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 21, 2015 at 11:24 pm for no driver’s license and speeding. A deputy running radar on Highway 182 near Jupiter Street in Bayou Vista observed a vehicle traveling 53 miles per hour in a posted 45 mile per hour zone. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver identified as Sons. While speaking with Sons, the deputy learned that he was operating the vehicle without a driver’s license. Sons was released on a summons to appear in court on March 7, 2016.

 

Travis Andrews, 46, 112 Hendricks Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on December 22, 2015 at 12:10 am for hit and run driving. A deputy responded to Franklin Foundation Hospital in reference to a report of a subject being treated for injuries caused by a vehicle crash. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Andrews lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons and struck a pipeline marker and a short metal pole in the 400 block of Highway 182 in Bayou Vista. Andrews left the scene of the crash. The deputy located his vehicle at a residence on Mercury Road. Andrews was released on a summons to appear in court on March 7, 2016.
