According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 41 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Lance Dauphine, 42, 640 B Trappey Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on August 5, 2014 at 5:40 am for simple assault, remaining where forbidden, and four counts of resisting a police officer with force or violence. A deputy responding to call of a stranded motorist on Pepper Road made contact with Dauphine who had been ordered to leave the property earlier that evening during a previous complaint. As the deputy advised Dauphine that he was under arrest for remaining where forbidden, Dauphine repeatedly refused to comply with the deputy’s commands and began to approach the deputy in an aggressive manner. Other deputies arrived at the location to assist. Deputies subdued Dauphine who continued to resist. Deputies then transported Dauphine to the parish jail for booking. No bond is set.
Korianne M. Parker, 25, 2778 Dunne Street, Sulphur, LA was arrested at 2:12 pm on August 5, 2014 on a warrant for failure to appear and on a warrant from Terrebonne Parish for six counts of theft of goods. A deputy received information that Parker, who held active warrants for her arrest, was in the parking lot of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City. The deputy located Parker and transported her to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $20,344.50.
Arneze D. Jack, 558 St. Peter Street, New Iberia, LA was arrested on August 5, 2014 at 6:31 pm on an Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant for home invasion and attempted first degree murder. St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives located Jack at a residence on Bodin Lane in Ashton on the warrant. Jack was transported to the parish jail awaiting extradition.
Reginald Pouncy, 41, 1204 Willow Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on August 5, 2014 at 6:52 pm on a warrant for failure to appear. A deputy transported Pouncy from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville on the warrant. No bail is set.
Bryson Skinner, 20, 1061 Grace Street, Siracusaville, LA was arrested on August 5, 2014 at 6:28 pm on a warrant for failure to appear and on a Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to appear and domestic abuse battery. A deputy made contact with Skinner at a residence on Grace Street and discovered that he had active warrants for his arrest. The deputy transported Skinner to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
Jerome Reed, 26, 1167 Highway 83, Ashton, LA was arrested on August 6, 2014 at 11:36 pm for disturbing the peace (intoxication). A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at the above listed address. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Reed who was yelling and cursing. While attempting to speak with Reed, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. Reed refused to comply with the deputy’s request that he go inside for the night and continued to yell and curse. The deputy transported Reed to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $500.
According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:
Melvin Jackson, 42, 124 Martin Luther King Road, Baldwin, LA was arrested on August 5, 2014 at 8:40 pm for stop sign violation, improper lane usage, no drivers license, possession of marijuana, and possession of cocaine. Narcotics detectives patrolling the Four Corners area observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Jones Road #1 and Highway 318. The vehicle then crossed the centerline of Hwy 318. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver identified as Jackson. During the course of the investigation, detectives discovered that Jackson was driving without a license. Through further investigation, detectives located crack cocaine and marijuana inside the vehicle. Jackson was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
