Arrest Report- December 4, 2015

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrest:

 

 

Jacob Domangue, 32, 2415 Cypress St, Morgan City LA, was arrested on December 3, 2015 at 11:19am on charges of Aggravated Battery. A detective learned that Domangue, an inmate currently housed at the St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on unrelated charges, struck a corrections officer with a food tray. Domangue remains at the parish jail with a $150,000 bond.

 

Edwin Anthony Young Jr, 36, 188 Mary Garrett Lane, Charenton LA, was arrested on December 3, 2015 at 11:53 for the following charges:

  • - Disturbing the peace
  • - Criminal trespass
  • - Interfering with a law enforcement investigation
  • - Simple assault
  • - Parish ordinance related to leash law.

 

A deputy patrolling the Baldwin area responded to Mary Garrett Lane in Baldwin for a dog that had broken free from its leash. Young was found to be the owner of the loose dog. During the course of the investigation, Young assaulted the complainant, thus causing a disturbance in the neighborhood. Young was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was later released on a $3,500 bond.

 

Jeremy Troy Rideaux, 27, 504 Sixth St, Franklin LA, was arrested on December 3, 2015 at 1:31pm for a warrant issued by State of Louisiana Probation and Parole for a probation violation for failure to obey instructions of court. A deputy assigned to the warrants division located Rideaux at the St Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin. Rideaux was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Nicole Elizabeth Ross, 26, 201 Tamprello Lane, Franklin LA, was arrested on December 3, 2015 at 3:45pm on two warrants, both for failing to appear to court on the original charge of criminal neglect of family. Ross was located at the Patterson Police Department and transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $8,56.62.

 

Durell Derone Alexander, 37, 515 St Peter St, Jeanerette LA, was arrested on December 3, 2015 at 4:40pm for the parish ordinance related to public drinking/ open containers in public and on a warrant for failing to appear to court on the charge of failure to obey traffic controls. A deputy assigned to patrol the Jeanerette area observed Alexander walking on Fortier Circle with an open container and later learned of the warrant for his arrest. Alexander was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $5,500.

 

Christian Garrett, 28, 187 Mallard St, Morgan City LA, was arrested on December 3, 2015 at 2:47pm on a warrant for failure to appear to court on charges of domestic abuse battery. Garrett was transported from the Caldwell Parish Detention Center in Grayson LA and brought to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Trampas LaPoint, 28, 3127 Roseline St, Morgan City LA, was arrested on December 3, 2015 at 1:10pm for the following charges:

  • - Driving under the influence (1st offense)
  • - Resisting an officer by flight
  • - Resisting an officer by force
  • - Battery on a officer

 

A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area responded to multiple reports of a reckless driver on Highway 90. The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was initiated. The driver of the vehicle failed to pull over and continued his travels on Highway 90. Ultimately, the driver stopped his vehicle in the parking lot of a local business. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, LaPoint. During the encounter, LaPoint became combative and struck a deputy. LaPoint was transported to the local hospital for medical evaluation as he showed signs of impairment. He was given a court date of March 7,2015 as he continued medical treatment.

 

 

Jarrell Hall, 21, 1411 Pelican St, New Iberia La, was arrested on December 3, 2015 at 11:27pm on charges of speeding, no driver’s license, switched license plate and no insurance. A deputy assigned to patrol the Jeanerette area observed a vehicle speeding on Highway 182. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver, Hall. During the course of the stop, the deputy found that Hall did not have a driver’s license, did not have insurance and had a switched license plate. Hall was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
