Two Arrested After Fleeing from Narcotics Detectives - Arrest Report August 1, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

                                        

Tarell Boulanger, 23, 1214 Hickory Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 31, 2014 at 7:24 pm for the following offenses:

- Possession of synthetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute

- Possession of drug paraphernalia

- Violation of CDS law (Drug Free Zone - Church)

- Flight from an officer

- Criminal trespass

- Disturbing the peace (alarming the public)

- Possession of a counterfeit CDS with intent to distribute

 

Jeremy Hall, 24, 132 Cherry Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 31, 2014 at 7:12 pm for the following offenses:

- Driving in the left lane

- No drivers license

- Reckless operation of a motor vehicle

- Disturbing the peace (alarming the public)

- Resisting an officer by flight

- Possession of synthetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute

- Possession of a counterfeit CDS with intent to distribute

- Possession of drug paraphernalia

- No seat belt

- Unauthorized entry into an inhabited dwelling

- Violation of a CDS law (Drug Free Zone- Church)

- Hit and run driving

- Criminal trespass

- Warrant for failure to appear on drug charges

- Warrant for probation violation

- Warrant for resisting an officer by flight

 

Narcotics detectives initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for impeding the flow of traffic by driving in the left lane for several miles on Hwy 90 in the Patterson area. The driver of the vehicle failed to pull over and accelerated to a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the vehicle as he attempted to turn onto Zenor Road and struck a stop sign. Before the vehicle came to a complete stop, detectives observed three occupants exit the vehicle and flee on foot. After a short foot pursuit, detectives caught the front passenger, identified as Boulanger. Detectives observed Hall run into a house alarming the residents of the home. Shortly after, Hall was detained and placed under arrest. During the foot chase, Hall and Boulanger ran through several yards where children were playing. As the investigation progressed, detectives located several bags of synthetic cannabinoids packaged for sale in the vehicle as well as a bottle containing counterfeit synthetic cannabinoids and a pack of plastic baggies. Hall and Boulanger were transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.

 

 

Nicole Lanclos, 32, 807 Iberia Street, #12 Franklin, LA was arrested on July 31, 2014 at 6:32 pm for letting a disorderly place.

 

Jude Franklin, 36, 807 Iberia Street, #12 Franklin, LA was arrested on July 31, 2014 at 6:32 pm on the following charges:

-          Possession of heroin with intent to distribute

-          Possession of MDMA (ecstacy)

-          Violation of controlled dangerous substance law (Drug Free Zone)

-          Possession of a CDS in the presence of a minor

-          Resisting an officer

-          Obstruction of justice

-          Transactions involving drug proceeds

-          Possession of drug paraphernalia

 

Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division conducted a search warrant at 807 Iberia Street #12 in Franklin. When detectives made entry into the residence, Franklin ran from detectives and attempted to flush narcotics down the toilet. Detectives retrieved the items. During the course of the search, they located heroin, ecstacy, plastic baggies, and straws inside the residence. Detectives also located $660 in cash (US currency) which was seized pending forfeiture. Detectives believe the money was derived from illegal drug activity. Two 11 year olds, a boy and a girl, were also in the home at the time of the investigation. Detectives transported Franklin and Lanclos to the parish jail. Lanclos was later released on a $250 bond. No bail is set for Franklin.

 

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 34 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Jean J. Grosselle, 65, 204 Wilree Drive, New Iberia, LA was arrested on July 31, 2014 at 12:25 pm for aggravated assault. A deputy responded to a report of a driver brandishing a handgun at another driver on Highway 90 in the Garden City area. The deputy located the suspect vehicle in Ricohoc and conducted a traffic stop. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that Grosselle waved a handgun at another driver after that driver would not allow him to pass. The deputy transported Grosselle to the parish jail for booking. Grosselle was later released on a $750 bond.

 

Scott Boudreaux, 43, 601 Renwick Boulevard, Berwick, LA was arrested on Augst 1, 2014 at 2:47 am for sexual acts prohibited in public.

Sheila Stewart, 39, 404 Henry Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 1, 2014 at 2:47 am for sexual acts prohibited in public.

A deputy patrolling the Berwick area observed a vehicle parked at the Berwick Boat Landing with its lights on. Upon approaching the vehicle, the deputy observed two subjects engaged in a sexual act. The subjects were identified as Boudreaux and Stewart. Following the investigation, both subjects were released on summonses to appear in court on November 14, 2014.
