Arrest Report - November 2, 2015

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 117 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Brian Guidry, 51, 102 Calhoun Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on October 30, 2015 at 7:11 am for hit and run driving. A deputy investigating a hit and run crash that occurred on Barrow Street in Amelia, learned that Guidry struck a male subject who was riding a bicycle in the roadway. Guidry was released on a summons to appear in court on January 13, 2016. The crash remains under investigation at this time.

 

Charles Clark (John Doe), 57, no address given, was arrested on October 30, 2015 at 8:05 am for criminal trespass and resisting an officer. A deputy responded to a complaint of a suspicious person on Belleview Street in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that a male subject was sleeping on the grounds of the Bayou Vista Community Center. The deputy made contact with the subject, who refused to identify himself to the deputy. The subject was transported to the parish jail for booking and subsequently identified as Clark. Clark was released on a summons to appear in court on January 13, 2016.

 

Carl Joseph, 56, 183 Roy’s Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 30, 2015 at 11:48 am for failure to properly signal a turn and driving under suspension. A deputy investigating a crash that occurred on Prairie Road North learned that Joseph failed to use a turn signal and that he was driving under suspension. The deputy released Joseph on a summons to appear in court on January 13, 2016.

 

Curtis L. Buford, 46, 479 Prairie Road North, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 30, 2015 at 12:40 pm for obedience to police officers, criminal trespass and resisting an officer. Deputies working a crash on Prairie Road North temporarily blocked the roadway so that a wrecker service could work to clear the scene. While the roadway was blocked, a deputy observed a pick-up truck pulling a flatbed trailer pull off the roadway and into a sugarcane field. The driver of the truck, a male subject, then proceeded to travel through the yards of residents in an attempt to get around the crash scene. The deputy stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver requesting to see his license and registration. The subject refused, drove away from the deputy, and continued to travel through a yard. Deputies detained the driver, who was identified as Buford. As deputies attempted to speak with Buford, he yelled profanities and forcefully pulled away from them. Buford was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was later released on a summons to appear in court on January 13, 2016.

 

Larry C. Rebardi, 57, 408 Darlene Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on October 30, 2015 at 2:23 pm on a warrant for illegal use of a weapon. A deputy investigating a complaint of a disturbance learned that Rebardi fired a shotgun towards the ceiling of his residence during an argument between him and another male subject. Rebardi turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City. A deputy transported him to the parish jail for booking. He was released after posting $5,000 bond.

 

Anthony Wilson, Sr., 55, 629 Second Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 30, 2015 at 2:58 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family (failure to pay child support). A deputy conducting a traffic stop on Highway 83 in Baldwin for a non-functioning headlight made contact with the driver, identified as Wilson. During the traffic stop, the deputy located an active warrant for Wilson’s arrest. The deputy transported Wilson to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $9,501.61.

 

William Frederick, 43, 327 David Road, Bayou Vista, LA was additionally charged on a second warrant for forcible rape on October 30, 2015 at 3:03 pm. On October 29, 2015, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of rape. The detective assigned to the case gathered evidence indicating that Frederick had non-consensual sexual intercourse with a juvenile female. The abuse occurred multiple times at a residence in Bayou Vista when the victim was 8 to 10 years old. Frederick was already incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on related charges. No bail is set.

 

Donnie Brown, 58, 3206 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, LA was arrested on October 30, 2015 at 3:59 pm on 2 warrants for failure to appear on the charges of issuing worthless checks. A deputy was dispatched to the Berwick Police Department in reference to a subject who had outstanding bench warrants for the Sheriff’s Office. The deputy transported Brown to the parish jail for booking. Brown was released on a $10,000 recognizance bond.

 

Benjamin McDaniel, Jr., 58, 461 Gum Point Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 30, 2015 at 8:54 pm for the following offenses:

- Possession of cocaine

- Possession of drug paraphernalia

- No driver’s license on person

- Proper tail lamps required

 

Gerald Mitchell, 58, 201 Mitchell Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 30, 2015 at 8:54 pm for the following offenses:

- Possession of drug paraphernalia

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of cocaine

- Warrant from the Department of Public Safety & Corrections Division of Probation & Parole for probation violation

 

A deputy conducted a traffic stop on Willow Street in Franklin on a vehicle that did not have a properly working tail light. The deputy made contact with the driver, McDaniel, and a passenger, Mitchell. While speaking with the two subjects, the deputy learned that McDaniel was operating the vehicle without his driver’s license and that Mitchell had outstanding warrants for his arrest. Also during the course of the traffic stop investigation, the deputy located drug paraphernalia on Mitchell and inside the vehicle. A small plastic bag containing cocaine residue was also located in the truck the two were traveling in. Both subjects were transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.

 

Jorge Cordova, 32, 738 Duval Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on October 31, 2015 at 1:39 am for failure to yield to emergency vehicles and possession of open alcoholic containers in motor vehicles. While conducting a traffic stop on Lake Palourde Road in Amelia, a deputy observed another vehicle fail to reduce speed nearly striking the front of the police unit. The deputy stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver, identified as Cordova. The deputy observed an open can of beer inside the vehicle. Cordova was transported to the parish jail for booking.

 

Eddy Pardo Cervantes, 36, 617 Sebby’s Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 1, 2015 at 2:43 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of disobeying a traffic light, operating a vehicle with an expired license plate and failure to honor written promise to appear. While responding to a separate complaint, a deputy made contact with Cervantes and located an active warrant for his arrest. Cervantes was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was later released on a summons to appear in court on February 11, 2016.

 

Ty M. Hammonds, 35, 709 St. Michael Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 1, 2051 at 6:08 pm for hit and run driving and reckless operation of a vehicle (with a crash). Deputies responded to a single vehicle hit and run crash at the intersection of Easy Street and Irish Bend Road in Franklin. Upon arrival, deputies learned from witnesses that the driver had fled the scene on foot. As deputies searched for the driver, they were flagged down by a resident who reported suspicious persons on his property. With the assistance of the property owner, deputies located the driver identified as Hammonds, along with a female passenger and her small dog. Following the investigation into the crash, Hammonds was released on a summons to appear in court on January 13, 2016.

 

Joseph Eusey, Sr., 37, 915 Gum Street, Fernandina Beach, FL was arrested on November 1, 2015 at 9:40 pm on 2 warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of probation and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery. Eusey was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrants. No bail is set.
