According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 51 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Mitchell Belanger, Jr., 49, no address, was arrested on September 17, 2015 at 4:00 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of remaining where forbidden. A deputy patrolling Charenton observed a vehicle on Levee Road with an open door and went to conduct a welfare check on the occupant. The deputy made contact with Belanger and located an active warrant for his arrest. No bail is set.
Peter Grogan, Jr., 37, 313 Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 17, 2015 at 10:14 pm on the following warrants:
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery
- 2 warrants for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of unauthorized use of an access card
Detectives conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Morgan City and made contact with a passenger, Grogan, and located the active warrants for his arrest. No bail is set.
According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:
Dontrey M. Triggs, 20, 200 Williams Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 17, 2015 6:51 pm for possession of marijuana.
Trent A. Gray, 28, 602 MLK Avenue, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 17, 2015 at 6:51 pm on a warrant for probation violation.
Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division patrolling the Patterson area observed a vehicle cross the center line of Highway 182 and conducted a traffic stop. Detectives made contact with the driver, identified as Triggs, and a passenger, identified as Gray. During the traffic stop investigation, detectives located 2 small bags of marijuana inside the vehicle belonging to Triggs. They also located an active arrest warrant for Gray. Triggs was released on a summons to appear in court on November 9, 2015. Gray was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $10,000.
