Arrest Report - September 15, 2015

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 51 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Antoine Webb, 32, 710 St. Michael Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 14, 2015 at 6:40 pm for the following violations:

- General speed law

- Driving under suspension

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana

A deputy traveling on Verdun Lane observed a vehicle driving at a speed above the posted limit and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Webb and learned that he was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. The deputy also located warrants for Webb’s arrest. The deputy transported Webb to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $5,250.

 

Wilfred Fields, 53, 10653 Highway 182, Centerville, LA was arrested on September 14, 2015 at 9:35 pm for no license plate light and no insurance. A deputy traveling on Highway 182 in Franklin observed a vehicle swerve across the centerline. The deputy also observed that the vehicle had no license plate light. A traffic stop was conducted and the deputy made contact with the driver, Fields. While speaking with Fields the deputy learned that he had no proof of insurance in the vehicle. The deputy released Fields on a summons to appear in court on December 7, 2015.

 

Ronald Hall, 33, 3522 Highway 182, Berwick, LA was arrested on September 14, 2015 at 11:54 pm for driving under suspension. A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle with pull into a parking lot on Southeast Boulevard. The driver opened the hood of the vehicle and the deputy made contact with him to offer assistance. While speaking with the driver, identified as Hall, the deputy learned that he was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. Hall was released on a summons to appear in court on December 7, 2015.

 

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests: 

 

Carl Allen, 24, 701 Park Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 14, 2015 at 6:31 pm for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and on a warrant from Morgan City Police. While patrolling Verdunville, detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Verdun Road and made contact with the occupants of the vehicle. Detectives identified a passenger as Allen, whom detectives knew had an active arrest warrant for his arrest. As the traffic stop investigation continued, detectives located a bag containing a small amount of marijuana and a pack of cigars where Allen was seated. Allen was released on a summons for the marijuana and drug paraphernalia and transported to the Morgan City Police Department on the warrant.

 

Antonio Campbell, 24, 5208 E. Highway 90 New Iberia, LA was arrested on September 14, 2015 at 7:15 pm for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Thai A. Nguyen, 20, 8519 Weeks Island Road, New Iberia, LA was arrested on September 14, 2015 at 7:15 pm for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Narcotics detectives patrolling the Franklin area observed a vehicle run a stop sign and conducted a traffic stop on Hanson Street. Detectives made contact with the driver, Campbell, and passenger, Nguyen. While speaking with the subjects, detectives smelled the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. Detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located a small amount of marijuana on the seat between the two occupants. Detectives also located a bag of marijuana on the ground near the vehicle. Both subjects admitted to detectives that they had been smoking marijuana. Detectives released both subjects on summonses to appear in court on December 7, 2015.
