Home Invasion under Investigation in Charenton - Detectives Seeking Information on Possible Suspects

At 11:25 am, St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a residential burglary in the 7000 block of Highway 87 in Charenton. During the subsequent investigation, detectives learned that two black males wearing masks and dark clothing attacked a pregnant female victim, hitting and kicking her after she arrived home at the residence. The victim was able to escape the two attackers and fled to a neighbor’s home nearby. The victim was transported to Franklin Foundation Hospital. She is listed as being in stable condition. Investigators are now seeking information from anyone who may have seen the perpetrators in the area. The description of the two males is limited. They are described as being of average height. One is of husky build. The other is described as being thin. Anyone who may have information on this crime should contact the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office or their local law enforcement agency.
