Arrest Report - August 5, 2015

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

                                        

Kyle G. Roy, 22, 215 Cajun Street, Broussard, LA was arrested on August 4, 2015 at 3:12 pm for the following offenses:

- Resisting an officer

- Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute

- Obstruction of justice

Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division and Officers from the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division were patrolling the Franklin area. During a traffic stop, on Yokley Road, a passenger in the vehicle, later identified as Roy, exited and fled on foot through a nearby trailer park. Officer's gave chase and observed Roy throwing a bag containing methamphetamine on the ground. Roy was apprehended. During the course of the investigation, detectives learned that Roy planned to sell the drug. He was transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.

 

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 29 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Glen A. Womack, 50, 420 Clarke Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on August 4, 2015 at 11:54 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of no seat belt and driving under suspension as well as a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of criminal neglect of family. A deputy located Womack at a business on Highway 182 in Patterson on the warrants. No bail is set.

 

Paris Durkins, 28, 602 Egle Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 4, 2015 at 12:34 pm on a warrant for theft of goods. A deputy located Durkins at her residence on the warrant. The warrant stems from an investigation into a complaint of shoplifting from a store in Bayou Vista. The deputy learned that a subject riding as a passenger in a pick-up truck was seen loading lawn chairs into the vehicle. The subject then left the store without paying for the merchandise. The deputy identified Durkins as the subject who stole the chairs and obtained a warrant for her arrest. While serving the warrant at her residence, the deputy located the stolen lawn chairs inside. This is the second arrest made in this case. Durkins was transported to the parish jail for booking and was later released on a summons to appear court on November 17, 2015.

 

Alec B. Bellon, 21, 107 Candy Lane, Rayne, LA was arrested on August 5, 2015 at 4:10 am for improper lane usage, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy responding to a complaint of a reckless driver observed a vehicle swerving from the center line and onto the shoulder multiple times. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the Driver, Bellon. During the course of the traffic stop investigation, the deputy received consent to search the vehicle and located three small bags of marijuana and a homemade pipe used for smoking marijuana. The deputy transported Bellon to the parish jail for booking. Bellon was released on a summons to appear in court on November 17, 2015.
