According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 47 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Mong Duval, 29, 178 Friendship Alley, Amelia, LA was arrested on July 15, 2015 at 8:57 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods. A deputy made contact with Duval at her residence and learned of the active warrant for her arrest. Mong was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $750.
Jasmine Gabriel, 22, 314 Sorrell Road, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on July 15, 2015 at 10:37 am on 5 warrants from Iberia Parish for issuing worthless checks. A deputy assigned to the warrants division received information that Gabriel was at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin. Gabriel was released on s summons to appear in court on September 11, 2015.
Donald C. Burgo, 48, 767 Degravelle Road, Amelia, LA was arrested on July 15, 2015 at 12:12 pm on a warrant for violating conditions of parole. A deputy located Burgo at his residence on the warrant. The deputy transported Burgo to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
Kevin P. Mitchell, Jr., 24, 1454 Highway 662 Bayou L’Ourse, LA was arrested on July 15, 015 at 2:43 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of simple criminal damage to property. A deputy transported Mitchell from the Terrebonne Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Bail is set at $500.
Lacey Martin, 26, 301 David Drive, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 15, 2015 at 7:16 pm for possession of Schedule IV (Xanax) and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of minors. A deputy responded to a complaint of a welfare concern. The complainant was concerned that Martin was intoxicated in the home with small children in the residence. The deputy made contact with Martin and observed her swaying where she stood and slurring words as she talked. During the course of the investigation, the deputy located several Xanax pills belonging to Martin who did not have a prescription for the drugs. The deputy also observed two small children in the home at the time of the investigation. The deputy transported Martin to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
