Arrest Report - June 23, 2015

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 35 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Lionel Bell, Jr., 35, 18399 Perkins Oak Road, Prairieville, LA was arrested on June 22, 2015 at 11:38 am on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of probation. A deputy arrested Bell at the Assumption Parish jail and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Bail is set at $10,000.

Daniel R. Miller, Jr., 26, 211 Cedar Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on June 22, 2015 at 8:37 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of distribution of cocaine. A deputy conducting a traffic stop on Big Four Corners Road cited an unlicensed driver. Instead of calling a towing company to pick up the vehicle, the deputy allowed the subject to contact a licensed driver to retrieve the vehicle. Miller arrived to retrieve the vehicle. The deputy made contact with him and located an active warrant for his arrest. The deputy transported Miller to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Maurice Givens, 34, 434 Tiffany Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 23, 2015 at 1:20 am for driving under suspension and lighted lamp required. A deputy assigned to patrol the Bayou Vista area observed a vehicle without a properly lit license plate light on Teche Road and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Givens, and learned that he was driving with a suspended license. The deputy released Givens on a summons to appear in court on September 16, 2015.
