Arrest Report July 16, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 45 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Ervin Gant, Jr., 45, 805 St. John Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on July 15, 2014 at 8:56 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of failure to pay annual registration fee as a sex offender. A deputy located Gant at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin on the warrant. The deputy transported Gant to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Jonathan Rollins, 27, 163 Gibbs Drive, Franklin, LA was arrested on July 15, 2014 at 9:12 am on a warrant for simple battery. A deputy transported Rollins from the Terrebonne Parish jail to the St. Mary parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville on the warrant. He was later released on a $500 bond.

 

Andreanna Broussard, 21, 4268 Highway 83, Jeanerette, LA was arrested n July 15, 2014 at 10:14 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple battery. A deputy located Broussard at the St. Mary parish Courthouse in Franklin on the warrant. The deputy transported Broussard to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $7,500.

 

Cody Thibodeaux, 23, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 15, 2014 at 7:56 pm on a warrant for attempted second degree murder and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. (See previous release for details.) No bail is set.

 

Jennifer Morrison, 43, Apartments #40, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 15, 2014 at 3:08 pm on a warrant for domestic abuse battery.

Jeffrey Conerly, 42, Solar’s Apartments #40, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 15, 2014 at 3:08 pm on a warrant for domestic abuse battery and filing a false report.

A deputy responding to a complaint of a disturbance on Carol Road in Bayou Vista made contact with Morrison and Conerly. The deputy discovered that both subjects had active warrants for their arrest. The deputy transported Morrison and Conerly to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Ariane Taylor, 31, 2818 Packenham Drive, Chalmette, LA was arrested on July 15, 2014 at 5:58 pm for possession of Schedule II (morphine). A deputy responded to a complaint from a drug treatment center in Bayou Vista regarding drugs being found at the location. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that the morphine tablets found belonged to Taylor. The deputy transported Taylor to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Joseph Williams, 30, 1211 West Main Street, New Iberia, LA was arrested on July 15, 2014 at 8:00 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy made contact with Williams at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City. Williams held an active warrant for his arrest. Williams was released on a summons to appear in court on July 23, 2014.

 

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

                                        

Michael Merrick, 62, 123 Collins Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on July 15, 2014 at 9:01 pm on a warrant for distribution of cocaine and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division located Merrick at his residence on the warrant for distribution of cocaine. The warrant stems from a drug investigation in which Merrick sold cocaine to an undercover officer in September of 2013. Detectives transported Merrick to the parish jail for booking. During booking, deputies learned of the outstanding warrant on the criminal neglect of family charge. No bail is set.
