Arrest Report - April 27, 2015

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:


James Thoune, 22, 634 Sebby's Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 24, 2015 at 5:29 pm for the following offenses:

- Distribution of marijuana

- Possession of drug paraphernalia

- Transactions involving drug proceeds

Emma V. Padilla, 20, 228 South Broadway, Church Point, LA was arrested on April 24, 2015 at 5:29 pm for the following offenses:

- Possession of marijuana

- Possession of drug paraphernalia

- Possession of Legend Drug (Minocin) without a prescription

- Obstruction of Justice

Ryan Boudreaux, 20, 212 D Southeast Boulevard, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 24, 2015 at 5:29 pm for possession of marijuana.

Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division traveling on Jupiter Street in Bayou Vista observed a drug deal taking place near the intersection of Belleview Street. Detectives made contact with the subjects involved in the hand to hand drug transaction and learned that Thoune, the driver of a vehicle, sold a bag of marijuana to Boudreaux, a pedestrian. Detectives located the bag of marijuana on Boudreaux and $681 dollars in cash in Thoune’s lap and wallet. Detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located a marijuana pipe and grinder in the center console. Detectives also located a Minocin pill in a can drink in the cup holder. Detectives learned that Padilla, a passenger in the vehicle, concealed the pill in the drink in an effort to hide it from them. Two more bags of marijuana were also found concealed on her person. Boudreaux, Padilla, and Thoune were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville for booking. Boudreaux was released from on a summons to appear in court on July 22, 2015. No bail is set for Thoune and Padilla.

 

Melanie Rink, 41, 2609 6th Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 24, 2015 at 5:19 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia and on a warrant for unauthorized removal of a motor vehicle. Narcotics detectives received information that Rink, who was wanted on the warrant, was at a location on Martin Lane in Amelia. There, detectives located Rink and the vehicle she failed to return to the victim. Inside the vehicle, detectives found a glass pipe believed to be used to smoke illegal drugs. Rink was transported to the parish jail. Bail is set at $2,000.

 

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72 hour weekend reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 120 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Andrekia S. Coleman, 28, 2607 Brookwood Drive, Jackson, MS was arrested on April 24, 2015 at 8:12 pm for the following offenses:

- Disturbing the peace

- Violation of a protective order

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of theft of goods and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles

A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on Easy Street in Franklin and determined that Coleman had violated a protective order. The deputy also located an active warrant for Coleman’s arrest. No bail is set.

 

Terry Kennerson, 25, 1209 Canal Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 25, 2015 at 12:37 am for disturbing the peace (intoxicated). A deputy conducting a courtesy check/walk through at a bar on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista encountered a male subject shouting obscenities. While speaking with Kennerson, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. Kennerson continued to yell obscenities causing a disturbance in the parking lot. The deputy transported Kennerson to the parish jail for booking. Kennerson was later released on a $500 bond.

 

Ryan T. Coleman, 40, 5151 Cocoa Drive, Pensacola, FL was arrested on April 25, 2015 at 9:21 pm on two warrants from Lafourche Parish for failure to appear on the charges of speeding. A deputy conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle on Irish Bend Road near Easy Street in the Franklin area made contact with Coleman and learned of the active warrants for his arrest. Coleman was released on a $200 bond.

 

Sandra L. Melchor, 34, 9905 80 Arpent Road, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on April 25, 2015 at 12:49 am for domestic abuse battery.

Oscar Melchor, 36, 9905 80 Arpent Road, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on April 25, 2015 at 12:49 am for domestic abuse battery.

A deputy working a security detail at the West St. Mary Civic Center observed two subjects fighting inside the facility. The deputy learned that the Melchor’s committed a battery upon each as the result of an argument that began earlier in the day. Both subjects were transported to the parish jail. S. Melchor was released on a personal surety bond. No bail is set for O. Melchor.

 

Chad Toups, 40, Doris Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on April 26, 2015 at 12:46 am for the following offenses:

- Hit and run driving

- Resisting an officer by flight

- Resisting an officer by force or violence

- Failure to signal a turn 100 feet prior to an intersection

- Criminal trespass

- Unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling

- Warrant for simple burglary

A deputy investigating a report of a hit and run crash in Amelia disseminated a description of the suspect and vehicle involved. Another deputy located the suspect, identified as Toups, driving on Lake Palourde Road and initiated a traffic stop. Toups failed to pull over continuing to drive to a residence on Friendship Alley. There, Toups exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The deputy pursued the suspect but lost sight of Toups in a wooded area. Continuing the search, the deputy developed information that the suspect was hiding in a trailer in a nearby area. A perimeter was established and Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office was contacted for assistance. TPSO provided two K-9 units to aid in the search. As the deputies and K-9’s were about to start tracking the suspect, a deputy observed Toups exit the trailer and flee back into the wooded area. The deputies gave chase and apprehended Toups in a thorn bush. The warrant for Toups’ arrest on the charge of simple burglary stems from an investigation into the theft of a computer from a business in Amelia earlier this month. During the investigation, Toups was positively identified as the subject who stole the item from a boat. A deputy transported Toups to the parish jail. No bail is set.

 

Terry Ratcliff, 43, 825 Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 26, 2015 at 12:59 pm for theft of goods (over $500). A deputy investigating a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista learned that Ratcliff attempted to leave the store with a shopping cart full of items that she did not pay for. The cart contained over $600 in goods. The deputy transported Ratcliff to the parish jail for booking.

 

Edward Trimm, Jr., 40, 1014 Ciro Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 26, 2015 at 10:38 pm for disturbing the peace (fighting).

Tierra Wilson, 29, 7408 Highway 182 E. Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 26, 2015 at 10:38 pm for disturbing the peace (fighting).

A deputy responded to a complaint of a fight on Grace Street in Amelia. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Trimm and Wilson and learned that the two were involved in an argument that escalated into a physical altercation. Both subjects were released on summonses to appear in court on July 22, 2015.
