According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 48 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Cassie Hotard, 45, 3288 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, LA was arrested on April 13, 2015 at 12:43 pm on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. With the assistance of the Chitimacha Police, a deputy located Hotard at her residence on the warrant. Hotard was released on a summons to appear in court on July 22, 2015.
Tyler M. Kapp, 23, 504 Crenshaw Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on April 13, 2015 at 1:42 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft. Berwick Police made contact with Kapp during a traffic stop, discovered the active warrant for his arrest, and notified a deputy who made the arrest. The deputy transported Kapp to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
Tashekia Celestine, 35, 1115 Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 13, 2015 at 3:00 pm on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy investigating a traffic incident in Bayou Vista made contact with Celestine and discovered the active warrant for her arrest. Celestine was released on a summons to appear in court on July 22, 2015.
Kyle Roy, 21, 215 Cajun Street, Broussard, LA was arrested on April 13, 2015 at 2:04 pm on a warrant for Louisiana State Police Troop I for interfering with a law enforcement investigation. A deputy transported Roy from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Bail is set at $100,000.
Juan DeDios, 48, 1207 C. Broussard Road, New Iberia, LA was arrested on April 13, 2015 at 11:04 pm for driving while intoxicated, driver must be licensed, and open alcoholic container in motor vehicles. A deputy observed a vehicle travelling slowly on Highway 90. At one point the vehicle came to a complete stop in the roadway. The deputy conducted a traffic stop in Berwick and made contact with the driver identified as DeDios. The deputy detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on DeDios’ breath and person and conducted a field sobriety test on which DeDios performed poorly. Dedios later registered a 0.204g% blood alcohol concentration and was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
Cassandra L. Collins, 38, 1312 Martin Luther King Road, Charenton, LA was arrested on April 13, 2015 at 5:23 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods and on a warrant for intentional littering. During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a jailer located the active warrant for her arrest. No bail is set.
