Arrest Report - April 7, 2015

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 29 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Jeremiah Reece, 38, 1151SW Boswell Avenue, Topeka, KS was arrested on April 6, 2015 at 8:21 pm for simple battery.

Claudia Granados, 33, 371 Harold Boulevard, Liberal, KS was arrested on April 5, 2015 at 8:31 pm for simple battery.

While patrolling the Bayou Vista area, a deputy was flagged down by a subject in the Wal-Mart parking lot in reference to a disturbance. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that Reece and Granados were arguing when the two struck each other inside a vehicle Reece was driving. Both were released on summonses to appear in court on July 22, 2015.

 

Ethan K. Barras, 18, 1502 Vanity Street, New Iberia, LA was arrested on April 5, 2015 at 4:55 am for driving while intoxicated.

Bryan Badeaux, 22, 129 Ann Street, New Iberia, LA was arrested on April 6, 2015 at 5:09 am for possession of open alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles.

A deputy observed a vehicle swerving and conducted a traffic stop on Highway 83 in Glenco. The deputy made contact with the driver, Barras, and passenger, Badeaux. The deputy observed that Barras was swaying from side to side where he stood. The deputy conducted a field sobriety test on which Barras performed poorly. Barras later registered a 0.050g% blood alcohol concentration. Also, the deputy observed an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle that belonged to Badeaux. Barras was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set. Badeaux was released on a summons to appear in court on July 22, 2015.

 

Christopher Pike, 51, 349 Hunting Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on April 6, 2015 at 8:20 am for simple assault, criminal trespass, and disturbing the peace. A deputy responded to a complaint of a subject harassing residents on Hunting Road. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Pike was beating on residents homes. The deputy also learned that Pike verbally threatened a female victim. The deputy transported Pike to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $1,500.

 

Anthony M. Chapman, II, 40, 603 Osage Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on April 6, 2015 at 9:46 am for domestic abuse battery. A deputy responded to a complaint of a domestic disturbance at a residence in Franklin. During the investigation, the deputy learned that Chapman grabbed a female victim by the hair during an argument. The deputy transported Chapman to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
