Arrest Report - March 16, 2015

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72 hour weekend reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 125 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Duanyell Williams, 40, 1815 Becky Drive, Franklin, LA was arrested on March 13, 2015 at 10:09 am on a warrant for disturbing the peace (fighting). Williams turned himself in to the Warrants Division at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. Williams was later released on a $500 bond.

 

Paul Fitch, 48, 107 Rodrigue Court, Schriever, LA was arrested on March 13, 2015 at 1:22 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of simple battery, disturbing the peace (intoxicated), and simple criminal damage to property. Fitch turned himself in on the warrant at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City. No bail is set.

 

Michael Berry, 58, 616 South Alexander Street, New Orleans, LA was arrested on March 13, 2015 at 4:11 pm on a warrant for failure to register as a sex offender and on a warrant for failure by a sex offender to notify law enforcement of a change of address. A deputy transported Berry from the Orleans Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrants. No bail is set.

 

Joel Floyd, II, 26, 1711 Cross Road #2, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on March 13, 2015 at 9:48 pm on a warrant for domestic abuse battery (child endangerment). Floyd turned himself in on a misdemeanor arraignment sentence at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. During the booking process, a jailer identified an active warrant for his arrest. No bail is set. The warrant is the result of an investigation into a complaint received on March 8, 2015. A deputy responded to a residence in Bayou Vista. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that Floyd slapped a pregnant female victim on the shoulder and threw items at her in an attempt to hit her.

 

Phillip J. Jordon, 49, 1201 James Street, Apt. #7, Siracusaville, LA was arrested on March 13, 2015 at 10:24 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks. A deputy assigned to patrol the Amelia area made contact with Jordon at his residence and learned of the active warrant for his arrest. Bail is set at $500.

 

Willie Vallet, Jr., 47, 701 Marshall Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on March 13, 2015 at 10:29 pm for the following offenses:

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of aggravated flight from an officer where

human life is in danger, reckless operation of a vehicle, operating a vehicle without a driver’s

license

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of cocaine and possession of drug

paraphernalia

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family

A deputy assigned to patrol the Centerville area observed a vehicle parked at business that had closed for the day. As the deputy approached the vehicle, the driver rapidly departed from the area. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver who was identified as Vallet. During the investigation, the deputy discovered Vallet held multiple active warrants for his arrest. The deputy transported Vallet to the parish jail. No bail is set.

 

Lashown J. Phillips, 43, 929 Chitimacha Trail, Baldwin, LA was arrested on March 14, 2015 at 8:32 am on a warrant for failure to pay annual registration fee as a sex offender and failure to obtain special identification as a sex offender. A deputy located Phillips at his residence on the warrant. No bail is set.

 

Juvenile female, 16, Patterson, LA was arrested on March 14, 2015 at 1:17 pm for hit and run driving and no driver’s license. After receiving new information on the case, a deputy conducted a follow up investigation into a complaint of a hit and run incident that occurred in the parking lot of a business on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista. The deputy identified the juvenile female as the driver of a vehicle that struck another vehicle and then left the scene. The deputy also learned that the juvenile had been operating the vehicle without a license. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Larosa Washington, 60, 1015 Grace Street, Siracusaville, LA was arrested on March 14, 2015 at 11:14 pm for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. Deputies responded to a report of several subjects entering an unoccupied residence in Amelia. Upon arrival, deputies located an open window and conducted a search of the premises. While doing so, a deputy located Washington in one of the rooms hiding under a blanket. No other subjects were located in the residence. Following the investigation, Washington was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Alvin Ferrande, 26, 111 Robicheaux Lane, Verdunville, LA was arrested on March 15, 2015 at 10:37 am for the following offenses:

- Domestic abuse battery

- Unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling

- Warrant from Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office for cyber stalking and telephone harassment.

A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance at residence in Verdunville. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that Ferrande grabbed a female victim and pushed her during an argument. Ferrande was not at the residence when the deputy arrived. The deputy initiated a search of the area to locate him. During the search, a deputy was flagged down by a subject at a nearby residence. The subject advised the deputy that Ferrande had pushed his way into that residence in an attempt to hide from deputies. The deputy located Ferrande and subsequently transported him to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Sean Gaspard, 28, 1204 Josephine Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on March 15, 2015 at 4:06 pm for the following offenses:

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of cocaine

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of heroin

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family

Gaspard was surrendered by a bondsman at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail is set.

 

Juvenile female, 15, Franklin, LA was arrested on March 15, 2015 at 5:50 pm for simple battery.

 

Shirley Maturin, 49, 234 Jones Road #1, Lot #1, Franklin, LA was arrested on March 15, 2015 at 5:50 pm for simple battery.

 

A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance in progress at a residence in Franklin. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that the juvenile and Maturin committed a battery upon each other during an argument. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings. Maturin was transported to the parish jail for booking. She was later released on a $500 bond.

 

William Hale, III, 27, 2128 Becnel Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on March 16, 2015 at 1:31 am for disturbing the peace (intoxicated) and 2 counts of resisting an officer. A deputy responded to a complaint of a subject knocking the door of a residence on Becnel Street in Franklin. Upon arrival, the deputy observed a male subject yelling outside of the residence. The deputy made contact with the subject and identified him as Hale. While speaking with Hale, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. As the investigation progressed, Hale attempted to hit the deputy by throwing a mobile phone. Hale then attempted to flee from the deputy on foot. The deputy gave chase and apprehended Hale who was subsequently transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $2,500.
