According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 30 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Juvenile male, 14, Amelia LA, was arrested on March 2, 2015 at 3:56pm on the charge of aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area responded to a call of a disturbance at a residence. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that a 14-year-old juvenile male threatened a family member with a pocketknife. The juvenile was arrested and transported to the Assumption Parish Juvenile Complex pending juvenile court proceedings.
Cystral Duhon, 42, 294 Ricohoc Dr, Franklin LA, was arrested on March 2, 2015 at 4:59pm for a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft (under $500). A deputy assigned to the warrants division located Duhon at her residence. Duhon was arrested and transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.
