According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 27 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Needron Bernard, 30, 133 Jena St, Charenton LA, was arrested on February 26, 2015 at 9:26am for a warrant on the charge of domestic abuse battery by strangulation. The warrant stems from an investigation surrounding a disturbance called in to the Sheriff’s Office on February 25, 2015. During the course of the investigation, deputies learned that Bernard and a female victim were involved in a verbal altercation and that Bernard choked the female.
Bernard, an inmate at the parish jail, was arrested on the warrant and remains incarcerated. No bail is set.
Jonathan King, 34, 478 Paula Dr, Thibodeaux LA, was arrested on February 26, 2015 at 1:53pm for a warrant for failure to appear on charges of criminal mischief. King was transferred from Lafourche Parish jail to the Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. No bail is set.
Angela Louviere, 32, 8801 Highway 182, Centerville LA, was arrested on February 26, 2015 at 3:04pm on a warrant on the charge of issuing worthless checks. A deputy assigned to the warrants division made contact with Louviere and arrested her. Louviere was later released on a summons to appear in court on April 15, 2015.
Dustin Macaluso, 32, 285 Cane Rd, Franklin LA, was arrested on February 26, 2015 at 9:41pm for telephone harassment. A deputy assigned to the harassment investigation instructed Macaluso to not contact the other involved party. Macaluso did so and was arrested. He was released on a summons to appear in court on May 12, 2015.

Bernard Charles Jr, 25, 429 Big Four Corners Rd, Jeanerette LA, was arrested on February 26, 2015 at 6:24pm on the following charges:
- - Failure to use turn signal
- - No driver’s license
- - Reckless operation of a motor vehicle
- - Criminal damage to property
- - Flight from an officer
- - Resisting an officer
- - Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
- - Possession of crack cocaine
- - Open container
- - Possession of drug paraphernalia
Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division patrolled the Jeanerette area. In the performance of their duties, they observed the driver of a vehicle fail to utilize a turn signal when making a turn onto Frontage Rd. A traffic stop was initiated, however, the driver sped away from detectives and a pursuit ensued. The driver, Charles, drove his vehicle through a yard causing damage in his attempt to flee. He later abandoned his vehicle and continued to run away on foot. Charles was detained a short time later but continued to resist arrest. A search of the vehicle was made and multiple bags of marijuana, crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and an open container were found. Charles was arrested and transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.
