Arrest Report- February 24, 2015

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

 

Exavier Guidry Sr, 29, 326 David Neil Rd, Rayne LA, was arrested on February 23, 2015 at 5:28pm for a warrant for failure to appear on charges of criminal neglect of family. Guidry was incarcerated at Acadia Parish Jail and transported to the St Mary Parish jail. Bail is set at $4,310.24.

 

Patrice Sexton, 38, 327 Hebert St, Jeanerette LA, was arrested on February 23, 2015 at 8:50pm for a warrant failure to appear on the charge of speeding. A deputy assigned to patrol the Baldwin area conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. The deputy made contact with the driver, Sexton, and learned of the active warrant for her arrest. Sexton was arrested and transported to the parish jail. She was later released after posting a $298.50 bond amount.

 

 

  According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

                

Cierra Smith, 25, BDC Ln, Centerville LA, was arrested on February 20, 2015 at 4:33pm on charges of failure to use a turn signal, possession of marijuana 2nd offense, resisting an officer and obstruction of justice. Detectives assigned to patrol the Franklin area observed a vehicle stopped at the intersection of Weber St and Iberia St. The driver then failed to activate the vehicle’s turn signal properly when making a right turn. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver identified as Smith. While conducting a search of the vehicle, Smith reentered the vehicle grabbed a bag of marijuana and threw it on the ground. Smith then attempted to destroy the drugs by stomping on the bag. Smith was arrested and transported to the parish jail. She was later released on a $3,000 bond.
