Arrest Report- February 23, 2015

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the 72 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 129 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Emilie Pittman, 21, 600 Superior Ln, Bayou Vista LA, was arrested on February 20, 2015 at 10:14am for a warrant for failure to appear on charges of disturbing the peace, battery of a police officer, criminal mischief and resisting an officer. The warrant was issued out of the city of Thibodaux. Pittman presented herself to the Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City. She was arrested and transported to the parish jail.

 

Leroy Lloyd Trim Jr, 41, 143 Gumpoint Ln, Franklin LA, was arrested on February 20, 2015 at 11:14am for a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of violation of animals at large. A deputy assigned to patrol the Franklin area located trim at his residence and learned of the active warrant. Trim was arrested and transported to the parish jail. He was later released on a $500 bond.

 

Crystal Duhon, 42, 294 Ricohoc Dr, Franklin LA, was arrested on February 20, 2015 at 11:52am for a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks and for a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft under $500. Duhon was located at the courthouse in Franklin and arrested by a deputy assigned to the warrants division. She was transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.

 

Tony Stanton, 25, 3023 Allison St, Morgan City LA, was arrested on February 20, 2015 at 12:15pm for a warrant on charges of issuing worthless checks. A deputy assigned to patrol the Franklin area located Stanton at a residence in Baldwin. Stanton was arrested and later released on a summons to appear in court on May 12, 2015.

 

James Voisin, 30, 459 Kyle St, Berwick LA, was arrested on February 20, 2015 at 5:49pm for a warrant for failure to appear on charges of criminal neglect of family. Voisin presented himself to the Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City after learning of the active warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and transported to the parish jail. Bail is set at $4505.

 

Marcus Robertson, 32, 2012 Patricia Ann St, Jeanerette LA, was arrested on February 21, 2015 at 3:24am for possession of a schedule II narcotic, cocaine. A deputy assigned to a security detail at a business in Jeanerette, observed Robertson drop a small clear bag out of a pocket. Upon closer inspection of the bag, the deputy determined the contents of the bag to be cocaine. Robertson was arrested and transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.

 

Phillip Taylor, 32, 404 North Montauban Dr, Lafayette LA, was arrested on February 21, 2015 at 8:56am for criminal damage to property. A deputy patrolling the Jeanerette area responded to a call concerning damage to property that occurred on Highway 182 near St. Peter St. The deputy learned that Taylor had punched through a vehicle’s window causing it to break. Taylor was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on May 12, 2015.

 

Thomas Clay, 52, 101 Westside Ln, Amelia LA, was arrested on February 21, 2015 at 12:10pm for disturbing the peace. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area responded to a call of a disturbance on Westside Ln. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Clay was yelling and cursing at an individual outside of a residence. Clay was arrested and transported to the parish jail. He was released after posting a $250 bond.

 

Scott Louviere, 30, 1370 Irish Bend Rd, Franklin LA, was arrested on February 21, 2015 at 11:47am for failure to use a turn signal and driving under suspension. A deputy assigned to patrol the Franklin area observed a vehicle make a lane change on Highway 90 without using a turn signal. A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the driver, Louviere. The deputy learned that Louviere was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. Louivere was arrested and transported to the parish jail. He was later released on a $1,250 bond.

 

Nathan Marshall, 36, 2712 Sugarmill Rd, New Iberia LA, was arrested on February 21, 2015 at 11:54am on the charge of criminal trespassing. A deputy assigned to a specialized detail patrolling the levees of St Mary Parish, located Marshall on the unprotected area of the levee. The deputy learned that Marshall had driven a vehicle onto the property. Marshall was arrested and issued a summons to appear in court on May 12, 2015.

 

Adrian Marshall, 25, 2712 Sugarmill Rd, New Iberia LA, was arrested on February 21, 2015 at 11:54am on the charge of criminal trespassing. A deputy assigned to a specialized detail patrolling the levees of St Mary Parish, located Marshall on the unprotected area of the levee. The deputy learned that Marshall had driven a vehicle onto the property. Marshall was arrested and issued a summons to appear in court on May 12, 2015.

 

Arthur Jack, 20, 152 Mary Gary St, Baldwin LA, was arrested on February 21, 2015 at 5:46pm for a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft over $1500. A deputy located Jack in Franklin and was made aware of the warrant for his arrest.

 

The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by detectives in August of 2013. Investigators learned that Jack had stolen several items of scrap metal from a location in Ashton. Jack was arrested and transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.

 

Nicholas Grimmett, 34, 134 South Verret St, Amelia LA, was arrested on February 22, 2015 at 10:19pm for 2 counts of criminal damage to property and for disturbing the peace. A deputy working in the Bayou Vista area responded to a report of a suspicious person walking on Southeast Blvd. The deputy made contact with Grimmett and detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath and person. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Grimmett had punched the door of a nearby truck causing a dent. Grimmett was arrested and transported to the parish jail. During the transport, Grimmett became angry and kicked the patrol vehicle’s window out. Bail is set at $1000.

 

Leroy Alexander, 40, 202 Jones Rd #1, Jeanerette LA, was arrested on February 22, 2015 at 10:25pm for the following warrants:

  • - Warrant for failure to appear on charges of criminal neglect of family (St Mary Parish)
  • - Warrant for 2 counts of simple assault (issued by Jeanerette Police Department)
  • - Warrant for violation of protective order (issued by Jeanerette Police Department)

 

A deputy assigned to patrol the Jeanerette area located Alexander at his residence. Alexander was arrested and transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.

 

Darnell Phillips, 35, 1148 Irish Bend Rd, Franklin LA, was arrested on February 22, 2015 at 2:45pm for a warrant on charges of aggravated battery. A deputy patrolling the Jeanerette area located Phillips in Jeanerette and learned of the active warrant.

 

The warrant stems from a report of a disturbance called in to the Sheriff’s Office on February 20, 2015. Detectives investigating the case learned that Phillips had cut a male victim’s arm during an argument that occurred in the Franklin area. Phillips was arrested and transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

                

Lenord Howard, 25, 1016 Cypremort Rd, Jeanerette LA, was arrested on February 20, 2015 at 5:17pm for the following charges:

  • - Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
  • - Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute
  • - Possession of a schedule II narcotic with intent to distribute (Lortab)
  • - Possession of a schedule IV narcotic with intent to distribute (Xanax)
  • - Transactions involving drug offenses

 

Daniel Ray Miller Jr, 26, 211 Cedar St, Franklin LA, was arrested on February 20, 2015 at 5:17pm for the following charges:

  • - Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
  • - Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute
  • - Possession of a schedule II narcotic with intent to distribute (Lortab)

     -     Possession of a schedule IV narcotic with intent to distribute (Xanax)

 

Courtney Charles, 28, 149 Highway 318, Jeanerette LA, was arrested on February 20, 2015 at 5:17pm for the following charges:

  • - Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
  • - Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute
  • - Possession of a schedule II narcotic with intent to distribute (Lortab)
  • - Possession of a schedule IV narcotic with intent to distribute (Xanax)

 

While conducting operations in the Jeanerette area, detectives with the narcotics division conducted a traffic stop near Lockett Rd #1. Detectives made contact with the occupants of the vehicle and identified as them Courtney Charles, Daniel Ray Miller Jr and Lenord Howard. During the course of the investigation, detectives found multiple bags of marijuana in the vehicle. As the search progressed, detectives located a large bag of cocaine with a street value of approximately $11,400, a container containing 11 large pieces of crack cocaine with a street value of approximately $15,500, and a bag containing several Lortab and Xanax pills. Additionally, Howard was found to be in possession of $4,700 dollar4s cash, believed to be money derived from drug proceeds. Charles, Miller, and Howard were arrested and transported to the parish jail. No bail is set on any subject.
