Arrest Report- February 9, 2015

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 133 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

 

Kevin Batiste, 27, 1111 Dora St, Morgan City LA, was arrested on February 6, 2015 at 7:36am for a warrant on the charge of simple battery/ domestic violence. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by the Patterson Police Department on March 28, 2014. A deputy assigned to patrol the Bayou Vista/ Berwick area located Batiste at a business in Berwick. He was arrested and transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.

 

Waynisha Jones, 29, 1011 Ramos St, Morgan City LA, was arrested on February 6, 2015 at 11:31am for a warrant on the charge of simple criminal to property and for a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of improper lane usage. The warrant for simple criminal damage to property stems from an investigation assigned to a deputy on October 10, 2014. The deputy learned that Jones had damaged a vehicle with a 3-foot section of PVC pipe. Jones was arrested and later released on a summons to appear in court on May 12, 2015.

 

Jonathan Bergeron, 21, 2138 Lagrange Robicheaux Rd, Franklin LA, was arrested on February 6, 2015 at 1:07pm on the charge of simple criminal damage to property and criminal trespass. A deputy patrolling the Franklin area responded to a call of a truck being stuck in a nearby cane field. The deputy later located Bergeron, the driver of the truck, and learned that he did not have permission to be there and had caused several ruts on the property. Bergeron was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on May 12, 2015.

 

Nehemiah Augusta, 17, 508 Taft St Lot 8, Patterson LA, was arrested on February 6, 2015 at 12:39pm on a simple battery charge. A school resource officer with the St Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office viewed video surveillance from Patterson High School and discovered that Augusta, a student, had shoved a female student multiple times causing her to fall to the ground. Augusta was arrested and transported to the Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. He was released on a $500 bond.

 

 

Richard Merritt, 30, 1426 Live Oat St, Patterson LA, was arrested on February 6, 2015 at 4:52pm on charges of entering contraband into a penal institution and possession of marijuana (4th offense). A deputy assigned to conduct investigations at the Law Enforcement Center in Centerville found that an inmate, identified as Merritt, was in possession of marijuana. The deputy located the marijuana inside of an expandable file folder that the inmate was carrying on his person. Merritt was charged. No bail is set.

 

Nicholas Breaux, 36, 123 Family St, Pierre Part LA, was arrested on February 6, 2015 at 5:44pm for the following:

  • - Criminal trespass
  • - Warrant for failure to appear on charges of disturbing the peace (Morgan City Police Department)
  • - Warrant for failure to appear on charges of criminal trespass (Morgan City Police Department)
  • - Warrant for failure to appear on charges of criminal trespass (Morgan City Police Department)
  • - Warrant for driver’s license not on person/possession (Morgan City Police Department)

 

A deputy assigned to patrol the Bayou Vista area responded to a call of a trespasser near the 200 block of Saturn Rd. The deputy found Breaux near an abandoned apartment complex and learned of the active warrants for his arrest. Breaux admitted that he had entered the abandoned complex to relieve himself. He was arrested and transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.

 

Destry Weber, 49, 809 Mercury Rd, Morgan City LA, was arrested on February 6, 2015 at 11:58pm for domestic abuse battery (2nd offense). A deputy responded to a disturbance at a residence on Mercury St. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Weber and a female subject were involved in an argument when Weber struck the female victim in the face. Weber was arrested and transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.

 

Ronald Hall, 33, 1412 Hickory St, Patterson LA, was arrested on February 6, 2015 at 11:36pm for a warrant out of the City Court of Lafayette for charges of hit and run driving, failure to yield and driving under suspension. While patrolling the Amelia area, a deputy made contact with a driver that had fallen asleep in a business parking lot. The deputy identified the driver, Hall, and learned of the active warrants for arrest. Hall was arrested and transported to the St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. His bail is set at $6000.

 

Tori Bourgeois, 32, 114 Verdin Ln, Verdunville LA, was arrested on February 7, 2015 at 10:38am for a warrant issued by the Franklin Police Department for disturbing the peace by loud and abusive language. A deputy patrolling the area located Bourgeois at her residence. She was arrested and transported to the parish jail. She was released on a $500 bond.

 

Ronald Granger, 48, 1811 Shelby Rd, New Iberia LA, was arrested on February 7, 2015 at 10:58am for criminal trespass. A detective assigned to work a security detail on levees throughout the parish located Granger driving on top of the Levee. Granger was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on May 12, 2015.

 

Talbert Jolivette, 67, 130 Second St, Franklin LA, was arrested on February 7, 2015 at 7:49pm on charges of trespassing, illegal carrying of a weapon and aggravated assault. A deputy responded to a disturbance at a residence in Jeanerette. The deputy found that an involved party, Jolivette, produced a pistol from his pocket and threatened family members following an argument. Jolivette was later arrested and transported to the parish jail. He was released on a $1500 bond.

 

Shaddrick Neddie, 38, 1308 James St, Morgan City LA, was arrested on February 8, 2015 at 12:07am on the following charges:

 

  • - Reckless operation of a vehicle
  • - Stop signs and yield signs
  • - Possession of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles
  • - No drivers license on person
  • - No registration in vehicle

 

A deputy patrolling the Amelia/ Morgan City area attempted to stop a vehicle for committing multiple traffic infractions. Upon making contact with the driver, identified as Neddie, the deputy learned that he did not have a driver’s license on his person and that he was in possession of an alcoholic beverage in the vehicle. It was also discovered that no registration paperwork for the vehicle was to be found. Neddie was arrested and transported to the parish jail. He was released on a $1,750 bond.

 

Zackery Cox, 26, 712 Leonard St, Patterson LA, was arrested on February 8, 2015 at 5:26am for possession of marijuana 3rd offense and possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy assigned to patrol the Bayou Vista area responded to a disturbance on Southeast Blvd. During the course of the investigation the deputy made contact with an involved party, Zackery Cox. Cox was found to be in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. He was arrested and transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.

 

Quincy James, 31, 3579 Tulip Dr, Decatur GA, was arrested on February 8, 2015 at 4:03pm on a warrant for failure to appear on charges of operating a vehicle without security and for no driver’s license on person. A deputy assigned to patrol the Centerville area located James riding an ATV on a state highway. James was arrested and transported to the parish jail. He was released on a $5,000 bond.

 

Leslie Matthews, 39, 178 Friendship Alley, Amelia LA, was arrested on February 8, 2015 at 11:21pm on charges of Disturbing the peace and simple assault. A deputy responded to a disturbance at a residence on Degravelle Rd in Amelia. During the course of the investigation, it was learned that Matthews cursed and made threats of inflicting bodily harm to someone else Matthews was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on May 12, 2015.
