Arrest Report - January 26, 2015

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72 hour weekend reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 104 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Deborah Hughes, 49, 264 Vivian Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 23, 2015 at 9:55 am on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. Hughes turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office on Franklin. She was released on a summons to appear in court on April 7, 2015.

 

Cory M. Picard, 22, 709 Magnolia Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 23, 2015 at 4:17 pm for disturbing the peace. A deputy responded to a complaint at a residence on Evia Street and learned that Picard drove to the residence and repeatedly honked the horn of his truck causing a disturbance. The deputy released Picard on a summons to appear in court on April 7, 2015.

 

Paul Gobert, Jr., 48, 124 Easy Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 23, 2015 at 3:04 pm on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy assigned to the Warrants Division located and made contact with Gobert at a location on Highway 182 in Franklin on the warrant. The deputy released Gobert on a summons to appear in court on February 18, 2015.

 

Tammy L. Pellegrin, 53, 108 Gertie Court, Houma, LA was arrested on January 23, 2015 at 5:06 pm on a warrant for theft. A deputy transported Pellegrin from the Terrebonne Parish Detention Center to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. The warrant stems from an August 2011 investigation into the theft of a TV from a store in Bayou Vista. The detective assigned to the case identified Pellegrin as a subject who was knowingly involved in the crime. No bail is set.

 

Paula Perro, 48, 129 Pickett Street, Charenton, LA was arrested on January 23, 2015 at 9:49 pm on the following offenses:

- Driving under suspension

- License plate light required

- Expired license plate

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension, no seat belt, and operating a vehicle with an expired license plate

- Warrant from Franklin City Court for failure to appear on the charge of passing in a no passing zone

A deputy assigned to patrol the Jeanerette area observed a vehicle without a properly displayed license plate on Highway 87 and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Perro, and found her to be driving without a valid license. The deputy also learned of the active warrants for her arrest. The deputy transported Perro to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $2,725

 

Son Nguyen, 40, 608 Cypress Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on January 23, 2015 at 10:51 pm for failure to signal a turn 100 feet prior to an intersection and driving under suspension, 2nd offense. A deputy assigned to patrol the Amelia area observed a vehicle fail to properly signal a turn and conducted a traffic stop on Duhon Boulevard. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Nguyen, and learned that he was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. The deputy transported Nguyen to the parish jail for booking. Nguyen was later released from the jail on a summons to appear in court on April 7, 2015.

 

Riley S. Lee, 41, 224 Gumpoint Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 24, 2015 at 12:24 pm on a warrant for simple assault and disturbing the peace. A deputy patrolling the area of Irish Bend Road observed a vehicle belonging to a suspect from a complaint the deputy received in December. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Lee who was wanted on the active warrant. The warrant is the result of an investigation of a disturbance on Gumpoint Lane. The deputy determined that Lee yelled threats at a male victim and subsequently obtained the warrant for his arrest. The deputy transported Lee to the parish jail for booking. Lee was released on a summons to appear in court on April 7, 2015.

 

William Hale, III, 27, 2130 Becnell Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 24, 2015 at 6:03 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of conspiracy to distribute heroin. A deputy made contact with Hale at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin and discovered the active warrant for his arrest. The deputy transported Hale to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $100,000.

 

Hiram Eugene, Sr., 34, 1019 Pellerin Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on January 24, 2015 at 9:18 pm for the following offenses:

- Maximum speed limit violation

- Driving under suspension

- Expired license plate

- No proof of insurance

A deputy assigned to patrol the Jeanerette area observed a vehicle on Highway 182 travelling at 67 mph in a 55 mph zone and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Eugene, and found that Eugene was driving with a suspended license. Following the traffic stop investigation, the deputy released Eugene on a summons to appear in court on April 7, 2015.

 

Michael Demouchet, 23, 900 Mississippi Street Apt. #48, New Iberia, LA was arrested on January 25, 2015 at 12:56 am on the following charges:

- No drivers license

- Maximum speed limit violation

- Expired license plate

- Failure to transfer registration

A deputy patrolling the Baldwin area observed a vehicle on Highway 182 travelling 70 mph in a 55 mph zone and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Demouchet, and learned that he was driving without a valid license. The deputy released Demouchet on a summons to appear in court on April 7, 2015.

 

Caffery J. Williams, 49, 407 Garber Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 25, 2015 at 1:41 am for improper lane usage and driving under suspension. A deputy observed a vehicle moving in the opposite lane of travel on Duke Street in Morgan City and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, Williams, and learned that he was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. The deputy transported Williams to the parish jail for booking. Williams was later released on a summons to appear in court on April 7, 2015.

 

Victoria Theriot, 17, 260 Cane Road, Centerville, LA was arrested on January 25, 2015 at 6:35 am for domestic abuse battery. A deputy responded to a complaint of a domestic disturbance on Cane Road. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Theriot struck a female victim in the face during an argument. The deputy located Theriot at a residence on Highway 182 in Centerville and following the investigation transported her to the parish jail for booking. Theriot was later released on a $750 bond.

 

Waynisha Jones, 29, 1011 Ramos Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 25, 2015 at 10:35 am on a warrant for domestic abuse battery. A deputy located Jones at her residence on the warrant. The warrant is the result of an investigation into a medical emergency during which a deputy learned that Jones scratched a male victim on his face and arms. The deputy transported Jones to the parish jail for booking. She was released on a $1,000 bond.

 

Jonelle A. Waltman, 49, 1614 Church Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on January 25, 2015 at 10:41 am for driving under suspension. A deputy patrolling the Baldwin area observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Highway 83 and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, Waltman, and discovered that she was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. The deputy transported Waltman to the parish jail for booking. Waltman was released on a $1,000 bond.

 

Beau K. Boudreaux, 36, 210 Mars Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 25, 2015 at 3:41 pm for domestic abuse battery and simple criminal damage to property. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on Mars Road. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that Boudreaux grabbed a female victim during an argument. Boudreaux also punched a door in the residence causing damage to it. The deputy transported Boudreaux to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Brandon Barrilleaux, 222 Mars Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 25, 2015 at 4:45 pm on 3 warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. Barrilleaux turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center after learning of the active warrants for his arrest. Bail is set at $300,000.

 

Edward J. Trimm, Jr., 40, 1014 Ciro Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 26, 2015 at 1:12 am on a Justice of the Peace warrant for criminal damage to property. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area made contact with a subject walking on Grace Street. The deputy identified the subject as Trimm and learned of the active warrant for his arrest. The deputy released Trimm on a summons to appear in court on April 7, 2015.

 

Drizzt Morales, 18, 2134 LaGrange Robicheaux Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 26, 2015 at 2:08 am for possession of Schedule I. A deputy patrolling the camp area of the Charenton levee observed a small car travelling on the levee and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with two occupants in the vehicle and smelled the strong odor of burning marijuana coming from the car. While speaking with Morales, the passenger in the vehicle, he admitted to the deputy that he possessed a small amount of marijuana and turned over a burnt marijuana cigarette. Following the investigation, the deputy released Morales on a summons to appear in court on April 7, 2015.

 

Derrick Meads, 32, 302 Maple Street, Labadieville, LA was arrested on January 26, 2015 at 4:48 am on 2 warrants from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on traffic charges. A deputy assigned to patrol the Amelia area observed a vehicle travelling on Highway 182 at a high rate of speed and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Meads, and discovered that he was wanted on the active warrants from Lafourche Parish. The deputy transported Meads to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
