Arrest Report July 8, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 46 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Shamika M. Green, 31, 338 Sorrell Railroad Row, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on July 7, 2014 at 9:42 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple battery and a on a warrant from Lafayette Parish for failure to appear on the charges of theft and simple battery. A deputy responding to a complaint at the above listed address made contact with Green and learned of the warrants for her arrest. The deputy transported Green to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $2,800.

 

Melvin East, 53, 6501 8th Street, Marrero, LA was arrested on July 7, 2014 at 2:21 pm for theft of goods and possession of open alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles.

Leonard Yarborough, 52, 2616 Fourth Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on July 7, 2014 at 2:21 pm for driving while intoxicated, possession of open alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles, theft of goods, and violation of registration provisions (switched license plate).

A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Using a description provided by store personnel, the deputy located and stopped the suspects who were attempting to leave the area in a vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Yarborough, and smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his person. The deputy also observed Yarborough to be swaying where he stood and slurring his words as he spoke. The deputy then made contact with East who was a passenger in the vehicle. The deputy identified Yarborough and East as the subjects seen on video surveillance taking several fishing poles from the store and then exiting without paying for the goods. During the course of the investigation, the deputy located open cans of beer and an open bottle of vodka in the vehicle Yarborough was driving. The deputy also found that the displayed license plate was not registered to the vehicle. Both subjects were transported to the parish jail for booking. The fishing poles were recovered. No bail is set for Yarborough. East was released on a summons to appear in court on October 13, 2014. 

 

Shawn Jenkins, 38, 701 Carl Foulcard Drive, Franklin, LA was arrested on July 7, 2014 at 1:19 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy located Jenkins at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin on the warrant. The deputy transported Jenkins to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Micah P. Domingue, 20, 131 Jupiter Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 7, 2014 at 4:43 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responding to a complaint of shoplifting learned from store personnel that Domingue was seen taking a cell phone case from the shelf and placing it in his pocket. Domingue was released on a summons to appear in court on October 13, 2014.

 

Dustin Boudreaux, 24, 1114 Levee Road, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 7, 2014 at 7:48 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks. Boudreaux turned himself in on the warrant. A deputy transported Boudreaux to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $5,000.

 

Adrianna Daigle, 33, 2113 Hebert Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on July 8, 2014 at 3:08 am for domestic abuse battery and simple battery. A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in Franklin. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Daigle and a 15 year old female juvenile were involved in an argument when Daigle struck the juvenile repeatedly. As a male subject at the residence attempted to stop Daigle, he was also hit. The deputy transported Daigle to the parish jail for booking. No bond is set.

Kevin Mitchell, Jr., 23, 1454 Highway 662, Bayou L’Ourse, LA was arrested on July 8, 2014 at 2:47 am on a warrant for simple criminal damage to property. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area observed a vehicle with a faulty headlight and conducted a traffic stop on Highway 182. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Mitchell, and learned of the active warrant for his arrest. The warrant stems from an investigation into a report of a subject breaking the window of a vehicle. The deputy transported Mitchell to the parish jail for booking. No bond is set.
