Arrest Report - January 20, 2015

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the holiday weekend reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 142 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Tonisheka M. Davis, 29, 235 Robin Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 16, 2015 at 12:08 pm for the following offenses:

 

- Warrant for issuing worthless checks

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of no child restraint and careless operation of a vehicle

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks

 

A deputy located Davis at her residence on the warrants. The deputy released Davis on a summons to appear in court on April 7, 2015.

 

Tammy Prevost, 40, 1421 Chatsworth Drive, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 16, 2015 at 4:11 pm on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy assigned to the Warrants Division located Prevost at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. The deputy released Prevost on a summons to appear on court on April 7, 2015.

 

Clay C. Broussard, 24, 161 Nini Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 16, 2015 at 8:47 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy responded to a report of a possible drug law violation at a residence on Arbor Circle. During the course of the investigation, the deputy located a glass pipe used to smoke crack cocaine inside the residence belonging to Broussard. The deputy transported Broussard to the parish jail for booking. Broussard was later released on a summons to appear in court on April 7, 2015.

 

William Leblanc, Sr., 59, 1404 Canal Road, Apt. 12, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 16, 2015 at 11:24 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. While responding to an unrelated complaint on Canal Road, a deputy made contact with Leblanc and learned of the active warrant for his arrest. The deputy transported Leblanc to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $18,659.10.

 

Richard Tabor, 45, 1569 Highway 317, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 17, 2015 at 7:48 am on a warrant for simple assault and disturbing the peace. A deputy responding to an unrelated complaint at a location on Highway 317 made contact with Tabor and discovered the active warrant for his arrest. The deputy transported Tabor to the parish jail for booking. He was later released on a $500 bail.

 

Joey Viltz, 49, 2461 Highway 318, Sorrel, LA was arrested on January 17, 2015 at 12:37 pm for simple assault and misuse of the 911 emergency system. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on Highway 318. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that Viltz had made verbal threats towards the residents in person and through the 911 emergency system. The deputy located Viltz walking near Highway 182 in Sorrel and transported him to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Bricelon Martin, 18, 1192 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, LA was arrested on January 17, 2015 at 8:43 pm for simple battery and resisting an officer. A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Chitimacha Trail. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that Martin pushed a female victim during an argument. As the deputy affected the arrest, Martin locked his arms in an attempt to prevent the deputy from placing him in handcuffs. The deputy transported Martin to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $1,500.

 

Juvenile male, 15, Charenton, LA was arrested on January 18, 2015 at 1:54 pm for criminal damage to property and aggravated battery.

 

Paul A. Jones, 53, 964 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, LA was arrested on January 18, 2015 at 1:54 pm for domestic abuse battery.

 

A deputy responded to a report of a fight at a residence on Chitimacha Trail. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that the altercation began when Jones pushed a female victim. The juvenile then advanced towards Jones holding a piece of reinforcing steel (rebar). The juvenile swung the weapon striking Jones in the chest. The juvenile also broke the glass on a door to the residence. Jones was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released. A deputy then transported Jones to the parish jail for booking. Jones was released on a $2,500 bond. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Bobbie Jo Topham, 32, 3141 Highway 70, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 19, 2015 at 2:30 am for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Topham was seen taking items from the business without paying for the goods. The deputy released Topham on a summons to appear in court on April 7, 2015.
