Arrest Report - January 13, 2015

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:
                                        

Juvenile male, 16, Berwick, LA was arrested on January 12, 2014 at 3:06 pm for possession of Schedule I (marijuana). Narcotics detectives received information from a concerned citizen regarding marijuana being located at a bus stop on Pharr Street in Berwick. Detectives went to the area and located a bag of marijuana on a tree branch. Detectives collected the illegal drug as evidence and replaced it with fake marijuana. Detectives then conducted surveillance and observed a juvenile retrieving the decoy drug. Following the investigation, the juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Kenneth Kiff, Jr., 28, 1038 Red Cypress Road, Patterson, LA was arrested on January 12, 2015 at 2:29 pm for the offenses of:

- Possession of heroin

- Possession of a counterfeit controlled dangerous substance

- Possession of drug paraphernalia

Jessica Pearce, 26, 810 Levee Road Apt. #14, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 12, 2015 at 3:04 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division received information about illegal drug activity taking place at a motel located on Highway 182 in Morgan City. Detectives made contact with Kiff, a subject believed to be involved in the illegal activity, and located heroin, a bag of counterfeit crystal methamphetamine, and a glass pipe used to smoke methamphetamine on his person. Kiff was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set. Continuing the investigation, detectives also made contact with Pearce and located a syringe in her purse. Detectives determined that the syringe was used to inject methamphetamine. Pearce was released on a summons to appear in court on April 7, 2015.

 

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 51 complaints and reports the following arrests:
 

Charles Boudreaux, 49, 914 ½ Main Street Lot #1, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 12, 2015 at 6:52 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy made contact with Boudreaux while responding to an unrelated complaint and learned of the active warrant for Boudreaux’s arrest. The deputy transported Boudreaux to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $18,503.67.

 

James M. Haydel, 28, 243 Jamie Court, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 12, 2015 at 2:54 pm for the following offenses:

- Warrant from Assumption Parish for simple assault

- Warrant from Terrebonne Parish for failure to appear on the charge of failure to use safety belt

A deputy made contact with Haydel at a location on Highway 182 Frontage Road in Amelia and learned of the active warrants for his arrest. The deputy transported Haydel to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Shunta Jones, 19, 518 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 12, 2015 at 6:26 pm for criminal damage to property. A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Saturn Road. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Jones damaged the side view mirrors of the victim’s vehicle during an argument with another subject. The deputy released Jones on a summons to appear in court on April 7, 2015.

 

Marvin Gabriel, 23, 210 Baptist Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on January 12, 2015 at 10:19 pm for the following offenses:

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family

- Two warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court

Gabriel turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrants. Bail is set at $210,136.19.
