Arrest Report - January 5, 2015

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the holiday reporting period (Wednesday-Sunday), the Sheriff’s Office responded to 213 complaints and reports the following arrests:
 

Deaserae Domangue, 32, 6423 Highway 87, Charenton, LA was arrested on December 30, 2014 at 7:40 am on a warrant for criminal damage to property. A deputy assigned to the Warrants Division located Domangue at her residence. The deputy released Domangue on a summons to appear in court on March 11, 2015.

 

Moses F. Stratton, 38, 3631 2nd Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on December 30, 2014 at 11:46 am on a warrant for aggravated assault and simple battery. Stratton turned himself in to the Warrants Division at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. Stratton was released on a summons to appear in court on March 11, 2015.

 

Samantha Starnes, 23, 140 Shell Beach Road, Pierre Part, LA was arrested on December 30, 2014 at 4:29 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Starnes was seen concealing items in a bag stored beneath a shopping cart. The deputy released Starnes on a summons to appear in court on March 11, 2015.

 

Nyjul Hillebrandt, 18, 606 Sixth Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 30, 2014 at 5:18 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Hillebrandt was seen concealing an item in a store bag before attempting to leave the store without paying for the item. The deputy released Hillebrandt on a summons to appear in court on March 11, 2015.

 

Clifton Martin, Jr., 52, 724 Prairie Road N, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 30, 2015 at 7:38 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Martin attempted to leave the store without paying for several items he placed in a shopping cart. The deputy released Martin on a summons to appear in court on March 11, 2015.

 

Paul M. Fitch, 48, 107 Rodrique Court, Schriever, LA was arrested on December 31, 2014 at 4:17 pm for simple battery, disturbing the peace (intoxicated), and simple criminal damage to property. A deputy responded to a complaint of a battery at a location on Degravelle Road in Amelia. Upon arrival, the deputy heard a subject yelling inside the residence. The deputy made contact with that subject, identified as Fitch, and detained him. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that Fitch struck a male victim and damaged the victim’s TV and other property. The deputy transported Fitch to the parish jail for booking. Fitch was later released on a $1,250 bond.

 

James Beranek, 29, 211 Highway 182, Patterson, LA was arrested on January 1, 2015 at 12:24 am for violation of parish ordinance, fireworks use prohibited. A deputy responded to a complaint of fireworks being ignited in the Patterson area and made contact with Beranek. The deputy advised Beranek of the parish ordinance and Beranek stated he would comply. While speaking with other residents in the area, the deputy observed fireworks being used at Beranek’s residence. Beranek was released on a summons to appear in court on March 11, 2015.

 

Jose Flores-Perez, 26, 4505 Port Road, New Iberia, LA was arrested on January 1, 2015 at 1:27 am for possession of Schedule II with intent to distribute and possession of proceeds derived from drug transactions. A deputy responded to a report of illegal drug activity at a bar on Highway 182 in Amelia. During the course of the investigation, the deputy collected statements indicating that Flores-Perez had sold cocaine to another subject at the bar. The deputy made contact with Flores-Perez and located a bag of cocaine and over $350 in cash on his person. The deputy transported Flores-Perez to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Don Zirlott, 52, 7041 Highway 87, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on January 1, 2015 at 1:43 am for domestic abuse battery. A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Highway 87. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that Zirlott grabbed a female victim by the arm and pushed her during an argument. The deputy transported Zirlott to the parish jail for booking. Zirlott was later released on a $7,500 bond.

 

Jose Bibian, 27, 156 Lenny’s Lane, Amelia, LA was arrested on January 1, 2015 at 8:58 am for disturbing the peace (fighting).

Leonel Fuentes, 30, 156 Lenny’s Lane, Amelia, LA was arrested on January 1, 2015 at 8:58 am for disturbing the peace (fighting).

A deputy responded to a report of a fight at the above listed address. Upon arrival, the deputy observed two male subjects, later identified as Bibian and Fuentes, arguing outside of the residence. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Bibian and Fuentes engaged in a physical encounter inside the residence. Both subjects were transported to the parish jail for booking. Both were later released after posting bonds of $250.

 

Jason Clark, 26, 203 Joseph Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on January 2, 2015 for armed robbery and on a warrant from Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana and resisting arrest. Detectives investigating a report of an armed robbery at a residence on St. Joseph Lane identified Clark as a suspect in the crime. While speaking with detectives, Clark admitted that he showed a handgun to a male victim and took the several hundred dollars in cash and a cell phone from the victim. Clark knew the victim. Clark was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Aaron Ourso, 34, 9205 Jessie Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on January 3, 2015 at 2:02 am on a warrant for probation violation. Ourso was transported from Del Rio, Texas to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. No bail is set.

 

Paul Daigle, 36, 101 3B’s Lane Apt. #20, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 3, 2015 at 5:20 pm for possession of Schedule I.

Leroy Guilliott, 34, 133 Valley Height, White Sulpher Spring, WV was arrested on January 3, 2015 at 5:20 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of domestic abuse battery.

A deputy responding to a welfare concern complaint at the above listed address observed what appeared to be a burnt marijuana cigarette inside the residence. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that the drug was synthetic marijuana belonging to Daigle. The deputy also learned that another subject at the residence, identified as Guilliott, was wanted on warrants. The deputy transported both subjects to the parish jail for booking. Daigle’s bail is set at $2,000. No bail is set for Guilliott.

 

Marcus D. Austin, 30, 1513 Gum Street Apt. #15, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 4, 2015 at 3:35 am for the following offenses:

- Careless operation of a motor vehicle

- Driving under suspension

- Possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies

- Possession of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles

A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Franklin area after observing the car travel onto the shoulder of Highway 3211 multiple times. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Austin, and received consent to search the vehicle. The deputy located a handgun and an open bottle of liquor inside the car. Austin was later transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Danny P. Savoie, 37, 1430 Prairie Road Circle, Centerville, LA was arrested on January 4, 2015 at 6:28 pm for driving while intoxicated, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, no drivers license. A deputy responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Prairie Road Circle. Upon arrival, the deputy located a pick-up truck resting on its roof in a ditch. The deputy learned from witnesses at the scene that the driver of the vehicle fled on foot towards a nearby residence. The deputy located the driver and identified him as Savoie. The deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on Savoie’s breath and person. The deputy administered a field sobriety test. Savoie conducted the test poorly. Savoie later registered a 0.157g% blood alcohol concentration on a breath test. The deputy subsequently transported Savoie to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Saviye Howard, 24, 702 Edison Street, Lafayette, LA was arrested on January 4, 2015 at 6:09 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks. Howard was brought to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center by a bondsman on the warrant and booked. No bail is set.  

 

Kellie Hebert, 41, 2008 Keith Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 4, 2015 at 6:41 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks. A deputy responding to an unrelated complaint made contact with Hebert and learned of the active warrant for her arrest. The deputy transported Hebert to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $3,500.

 

Chad Fox, 44, 500 Mobile Est, Gray, LA was arrested on January 4, 2015 at 8:38 pm for simple battery.  A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance on Lee Street in Amelia. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned from an off duty police officer that Fox was seen hitting a female victim while the two were travelling on foot near the roadway. The deputy transported Fox to the parish jail for booking. Fox was later released on a summons to appear in court on April 7, 2015.

 

Brien C. Wings, 25, 2124 Eisenhower Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 5, 2015 at 2:14 am for domestic abuse battery. A deputy responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on Highway 83 in Four Corners. Upon arrival, the deputy located a female subject lying on the floor of the residence with a blood stained blanket. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that Wings punched the female victim in the face during an argument. The victim was transported to Franklin Foundation Hospital where she was treated for contusions to the face. The deputy transported Wings to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
