Arrest Report December 23, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:
 

Aaron Johnson, 29, 1207 Third Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on December 22, 2014 at 11:54 am on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy assigned to the Warrants Division located Johnson on Railroad Avenue in Morgan City on the warrant. The deputy released Johnson on a summons to appear in court on March 11, 2015.

 

John Garrett, 48, 226 Haney Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on December 22, 2014 at 3:11 pm on a warrant for charges of domestic abuse battery and disturbing the peace. Garrett turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. The warrant stems from an investigation into a report of a disturbance at a business on Highway 90 in the Patterson area. Garrett and a female subject were involved in an argument when Garrett pushed the female victim to the ground. A deputy transported Garrett to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $6,500.

 

Hermeisha Hawkins, 20, 214 Arizona Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 22, 2014 at 6:59 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Hawkins was seen concealing video games inside a bag before attempting to leave the store without paying for the items. The deputy released Hawkins on a summons to appear in court on March 11, 2015.

 

Norman Carter, 50, no known address, was arrested on December 22, 2014 at 9:01 pm for vagrancy and possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area observed a male subject sitting outside of a closed business on Highway 182. The deputy made contact with the subject, identified as Carter, and smelled the odor of burning marijuana. The deputy located a pack of rolling papers on Carter’s person. Following the investigation, the deputy transported Carter to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $1,750.
