According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:
Wanya Francis, 20, 1503 Live Oak Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on December 17, 2014 at 1:08 pm for threatening a public official. While escorting offenders from the courtroom at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin, Francis who is also an inmate, made verbal threats to a deputy. Francis remains incarcerated.
Stacey Grubb, 34, 146 Shady Grove Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on December 17, 2014 at 2:02 pm on the following warrants:
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of methamphetamine; illegal use, consumption, possession, or distribution of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of persons under 17; possession of drug paraphernalia
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of Schedule I drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia
Narcotics detectives received information regarding Grubb’s whereabouts and located her at a business on Highway 90 in the Patterson area on the active warrants. Grubb was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
Cole Fruge, 23, 1302 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 17, 2014 at 2:45 pm on two warrants for operation of a clandestine laboratory. Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division located Fruge on Saturn Road on the active warrants. The warrants are the result of an investigation into the manufacturing of methamphetamine at two locations on Saturn Road and Two Sisters Court in Bayou Vista. Detectives located several items consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamine at each residence. Fruge was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
Jonathan Motte, 30, 104 Oak Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 17, 2014 at 7:59 pm for possession of marijuana. Narcotics detectives patrolling the Berwick area conducted a traffic stop on Trevino Street after observing a vehicle travel across the center line and fog line of the roadway. Detectives made contact with the driver, identified as Motte, and smelled the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. Detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located a partially burnt marijuana cigarette under the driver’s seat. Detectives released Motte on a summons to appear in court on March 11, 2015.
According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Jose Ainsworth, 45, 7212 Highway 90 East Apt. 24, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 17, 2014 at 11:37 am on a warrant for second degree battery. A deputy assigned to the warrants division developed information that Ainsworth had moved back to St. Mary Parish after living out of state for several years. Ainsworth turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin after being advised of the active warrant for his arrest by the SMPSO Warrants Division. The warrant stems from an investigation dating back to 1990. Ainsworth and a female subject were involved in an argument at a residence in Bayou Vista when Ainsworth grabbed the female victim and pushed her against a wall. The victim sustained a fractured wrist and was transported to Lakewood Hospital for treatment. The deputy released Ainsworth on a summons to appear in court on March 30, 2015.
Aleta Prince, 43, 234 Florence Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on December 17, 2014 at 4:03 pm for simple criminal damage to property. A deputy responded to a complaint of a damaged vehicle in a parking lot of a business on Highway 182 in Jeanerette. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that the vehicle Prince was driving lost traction and sprayed gravel onto the complainant’s vehicle causing damage. Prince was located at her residence. Following the investigation, the deputy released Prince on a summons to appear in court on March 11, 2015.
Larosa Washington, 59, Lot 53 Odile Lane, Amelia, LA was arrested on December 17, 2014 at 4:08 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, second offense. During an investigation into a separate complaint, a detective made contact with Washington at his residence and learned of the active warrant for his arrest. Washington was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
