Arrest Report December 11, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 44 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Chris Smith, 29, 1111 Stall St, Harvey LA, was arrested on December 10, 2014 at 12:38pm on a warrant for failure to appear on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of codeine, possession of hydrocodone, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The warrant stems from an investigation concerning illegal drug activity.

 

Smith was transported from the Morehouse Parish Jail in Bastrop LA, to the St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Bail is set at $7500.

 

Wanya Francis, 20, 1503 Live Oak St, Patterson, LA, was additionally charged with aggravated second-degree battery. Francis is an inmate at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. A jailer observed Francis strike another inmate with a broomstick in one of the dorms. The victim was treated for a broken nose. Francis remains incarcerated.

 

Toby Adams, 36, 11429 Highway 192, Franklin LA was arrested on December 10, 2014 at 1:30pm for a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family and a warrant for criminal trespassing. A deputy located Adams in Franklin and learned of the active warrants for his arrest. Adams was transported to the parish jail for booking.

 

The criminal trespassing warrant stems from an investigation conducted on January 1, 2014. Deputies learned that Adams had trespassed on property in the Ricohoc area. No bail is set.

 

Brent Darden, 29, 3636 Chitimacha Trial, Charenton LA, was arrested on December 10, 2014 at 3:51pm for a warrant for failure to appear on charges of unauthorized use of a movable and simple criminal damage to property, and, for a warrant on the charge of disarming a peace officer. The warrant for disarming a peace officer stems from an incident that occurred on March 18, 2014 at the parish jail. Darden was transported from the Iberia Parish to the St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail is set.

 

Sky Leger Sr., 33, 1205 Garber Rd Apt 109, Broussard LA, was arrested on December 10, 2014 at 3:33pm on the following warrants:

  • Failure to appear on charges of possession of marijuana, abuse of toxic vapors and passion of drug paraphernalia
  • Failure to appear on the charge of simple burglary
  • Failure to appear on the charge of simple burglary
  • Failure to appear on the charge of simple burglary
  • Failure to appear on the charge of simple burglary

 

The warrants for simple burglary, stem from investigations conducted in the month of September, 2013, where gas plants/sites throughout the parish were burglarized. Leger had admitted to detectives that he participated in several those burglaries.

 

Leger was transported from Iberia Parish jail to the St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail is set.
