Arrest Report November 24, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

                                        

Debra A. Scelfo, 58, 517 Willow Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on November 21, 2014 at 4:35 pm on a warrant for 38 counts of obtaining a prescription by fraud. Earlier this month, detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division began an investigation into a complaint of possible prescription fraud. Detectives discovered that Scelfo used Medicaid and three prescriptions that did not belong to her to fraudulently obtain Vyvanse pills over the course of a year. Detectives made contact with Scelfo at her residence and subsequently transported her to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $50,000.

 

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 113 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Two juvenile females age 14 and a juvenile female age 13 were arrested on November 21, 2014 at 8:00 am for disturbing the peace (fighting). A deputy investigating a report of a fight at B.E. Boudreaux Middle School identified the juveniles as those involved in a physical altercation that occurred in the cafeteria. The juveniles were released to guardians pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

James Kelly, 39, 729 Gilchrist Lane, Ricohoc, LA was arrested on November 21, 2014 at 9:46 am on a warrant for principle to aggravated cruelty to animals.

 

Jonathan Killingsworth, 24, 79 Marin Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 21, 2014 at 10:16 am on a warrant for principle to aggravated cruelty to animals.

 

A deputy investigating a complaint of a dead bull on the Patterson levee identified Kelly and Killingsworth as the two subjects were passengers in a vehicle that struck the animal while trespassing on the levee. Both were transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.

 

Jermaine Keys, 39, 138 Aucoin Road, Amelia, LA was arrested on November 21, 2014 ay 9:54 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and no seat belt. Keys was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center from Assumption Parish on the warrant. He was later released on a summons to appear n court on February 10, 2015.

 

Angela Weber, 47, 809 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 22, 2014 at 12:09 am for unauthorized removal of a shopping cart. A deputy responded to the above listed address after 911 operators received a call that was disconnected. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Weber who stated that she dialed 911 accidentally. After ensuring that the residents were safe and that there was no emergency, the deputy observed two shopping carts from a Bayou Vista store on the property. The deputy contacted store personnel and learned that the carts were taken without permission. The deputy transported Weber to the parish jail for booking. She was later released on a summons to appear in court on February 10, 2015.

 

Didier Marquez-Sanchez, 34, 203 Trevino Street #11, Berwick, LA was arrested on November 22, 2014 at 1:59 am for simple battery. A deputy responded to a report of a battery at a bar on Highway 182 in Amelia. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Marquez-Sanchez struck a male victim working security at the business while he was attempting to break up a fight. Marquez-Sanchez was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was later released on a $500 bond.

 

Shane P. Trosclair, 4682 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, LA was arrested on November 22, 2014 at 5:36 am for battery of the infirm. A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance at the above listed address. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Trosclair struck a 63 year old male victim during an argument. The deputy transported Trosclair to the parish jail for booking. He was later released on a $7,500 bond.

 

Jasmine Junifer, 25, 633 Terrebonne Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 23, 2014 at 6:14 pm for theft of goods. A deputy investigating a report of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista learned from personnel that Junifer was seen concealing items in her purse. Junifer then attempted to leave the store without paying for the goods. She was released on a summons to appear in court on February 10, 2015.

 

Michael Jack, 43, 1146 Lot #1, Highway 83, Baldwin, LA was arrested on November 23, 2014 at 6:32 pm for disturbing the peace (intoxicated) and remaining where forbidden. A deputy responded to a business on Highway 90 in Jeanerette in reference to a subject harassing customers. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Jack and smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. Jack admitted to the deputy that he had refused to leave the establishment despite being asked to by management. The deputy transported Jack to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $1,000.

 

Tommy McNally, 44, 1309 Middle Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 24, 2014 at 12:14 am for hit and run driving. A deputy responded to a report of a hit and run crash that occurred in the driver thru of a fast food restaurant on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that one of the drivers involved left the scene of the crash. Using the license plate number obtained by a witness at the scene, the deputy identified McNally as the subject who fled. The deputy located McNally at his residence. Following the investigation, the deputy released McNally on a summons to appear in court on February 10, 2015.

 

Howard P. Smith, Jr., 44, 142 Pond Drive, Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 23, 2014 at 10:22 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of domestic abuse battery and simple criminal damage to property. A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding on Highway 90 in the Siracusa area. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Smith and learned of the active warrant for his arrest. Smith was also cited for the traffic violation. The deputy transported Smith to the parish jail for booking. He was later released on a $2,500 bond.
