Arrest Report November 12, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 48 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 87 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Lawrence Blackburn, 36, 1140 Grace Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 10, 2014 at 6:57 am on a warrant from Morgan City Police for failure to appear on the charge of driving under suspension. A deputy investigating an unrelated complaint made contact with Blackburn at his residence and learned of the active warrant for his arrest. Blackburn was transferred to another jurisdiction.

 

Joseph Dawson, 22, 325 Nora Lane, Thibodaux, LA was arrested on November 10, 2014 at 9:48 am on a warrant for theft. A deputy transported Dawson from the Lafourche Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville on the warrant. The warrant stems from an investigation into a shoplifting complaint from a store in Bayou Vista. Dawson is seen on surveillance video leaving the store with items for which he did not pay. Dawson was released on a $7,500 bond.

 

Gualberto Garcia-Gomez, 46, 416 Cane Drive, Lafayette, LA was arrested on November 10, 2014 at 11:55 am for the following offenses:

- Warrant from Louisiana State Police for 3 counts unauthorized use of an access card

- Warrant from Louisiana State Police for 3 counts identity theft

- Warrant from Louisiana State Police for 3 counts monetary instrument abuse

A deputy transported Garcia-Gomez from the Lafayette Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail is set.

 

Dennis Furlette, 51, 5059 Bayou Black Drive, Gibson, LA was arrested on November 11, 2014 at 7:53 am on a warrant from Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on the charge of improper turning. A deputy made contact with Furlette during a traffic stop in Amelia and learned of the active warrant for his arrest. Furlette was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $500.

 

Crystal Mauney, 34, 271 Grandwood Drive #41 Patterson, LA was arrested on November 11, 2014 at 8:32 am for the following offenses:

- Reckless operation of a vehicle

- Possession of Schedule II

- Possession of Schedule IV

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods

A deputy responding to a complaint of a reckless driver observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed and swerving from lane to lane on Highway 90 in the Patterson area. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Mauney. During the course of the traffic stop, deputies received consent to search the vehicle and located generic forms of Adderall and Valium pills. Mauney was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Chasity R. Marshall, 26, 610 Seventy-Nine Pines Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 11, 2014 at 11:30 am on a warrant from the City of Patterson for failure to appear on the charge of speeding. A deputy received a request for assistance from Patterson Police in serving the warrant outside of the agency’s jurisdiction. The deputy located Marshall at her residence and transported her to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Kalyn Rodriguez, 26, 212 Highway 182, Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 11, 2014 at 3:43 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responding to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista learned from store personnel that Rodriguez was seen taking an item from its packaging and concealing it in her pocket. Rodriguez was released on a summons to appear in court on February 10, 2015.

 

Marquis Rogers, 17, 613 Superior Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 11, 2014 at 8:54 pm on a warrant for disturbing the peace (fighting). A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Teche Road in Bayou Vista and made contact with a passenger identified as Rogers. The deputy subsequently learned that Rogers was wanted on an active warrant. The warrant stems from an investigation into a complaint of a fight that occurred on Southeast Boulevard in Bayou Vista in May. Rogers was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was later released on a summons to appear in court on February 10, 2015.

 

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

                                        

Jason Alfred, 37, Two Sister’s Lane Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 10, 2014 at 2:18 pm on a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. Alfred turned himself in to narcotics detectives at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City. He was released on a summons to appear in court on February 10, 2015.

 

 

Jermaine Spain, 30, 6744 Highway 182 Franklin, LA was arrested on November 10, 2014 at 3:00 pm for possession of Schedule IV (Xanax). Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division conducted a joint investigation with Probation and Parole at the above listed address. The investigation resulted in charges from Probation and Parole against Spain. During the booking process at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville, Spain was also found to be in possession of Xanax. No bail is set.

 

 

Patrick Leblanc, 25, 906 First Street Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 11, 2014 at 12:24 am for the following offenses:

- Possession of Schedule I (synthetic cannabinoids) with intent to distribute

- Possession of drug paraphernalia

- Possession of Legend Drug (Robaxin and Phenergan)

- Keeping a disorderly place.

 

Miranda Vining, 31, 205 Onstead Street Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 10, 2014 at 12:24 am for possession of Schedule I (marijuana).

Narcotics detectives conducted a search warrant at 906 First Street in Morgan City. Upon entering the residence, detectives observed narcotics in plain view. Also, during the course of the search, detectives located a bag of synthetic cannabinoids, Robaxin pills, Phenergan pills, empty packages of synthetic cannabinoids, and a bag of marijuana along with multiple items of drug paraphernalia. Leblanc and Vining were transported to the parish jail. Vining was released on a $2,000 bond. No bail is set for Leblanc.

 

 

Chantal Ruffin, 25, 1404 James Street Siracusaville, LA was arrested on November 11, 2014 at 4:53 pm for possession of Schedule I (marijuana) 4th offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ebonique Clark, 23, 1107 Grace Street Siracusaville, LA was arrested on November 11, 2014 at 4:53 pm for possession of Schedule I (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division along with Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division conducted a search warrant at 1404 James Street. Detectives located marijuana and several items of drug paraphernalia. Clark was released on a summons to appear in court on February 10, 2015. Ruffin was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
