Arrest Report October 28, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 28 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Kevin Williams, 23, 113 Aristle Road, Morgan City, LA was arrested on October 27, 2014 at 9:17 am for theft. A deputy responded to a report of a theft of a weed eater from a residence on Lake Palourde Road in Amelia. The suspect in the crime, later identified as Williams, fled from the residence on foot. Workers in a nearby parking lot assisted the responding deputy in apprehending Williams. Williams was positively identified as the subject who took the weed eater. Following the investigation, Williams was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was later released on a summons to appear in court on January 26, 2015. The stolen property was recovered and returned to the owner. 

 

Bobby Seeley, 43, Morgan City, LA was additionally charged with aggravated battery on October 27, 2014 at 11:36 am. A detective conducted an investigation into a complaint of a battery that occurred at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in September 2014. While housed in a dorm, Seely struck another inmate in the face with the receiver of a jail telephone. The victim sustained a small laceration to the face and was treated by medical staff for the injury following the incident. Seely remains incarcerated.

 

Whitney Klein, 50, 111 Cypress Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on October 27, 2014 at 8:02 pm for reckless operation of a vehicle and possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription. A deputy responded to a request for assistance with traffic stop conducted by Patterson Police on Highway 182 in the Patterson area for reckless driving. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Klein. The deputy observed Klein to unsteady on her feet. Klein’s speech was also slurred. During the course of the investigation, the deputy received consent to search the vehicle and located a bottle of prescription drugs that did not belong to Klein. The deputy transported Klein to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
