Arrest Report October 27, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 99 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Denise A. Chaisson, 52, 2601 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, LA was arrested on October 24, 2014 at 9:15 am on a warrant for simple assault. A deputy located Chaisson at her residence on the warrant. The warrant stems from an investigation into a confrontation that occurred on October 16, 2014 during which Chaisson verbally threatened a female victim. Chaisson was released on a summons to appear in court on January 26, 2015.

 

Eddie L. Brown, IV, 41, 1370 Joseph Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on October 24, 2014 at 2:39 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for payment on the charge of failure to possess a special ID card as a sex offender. A deputy transported Brown from the Terrebonne Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville on the warrant. No bail is set.

 

Gerald J. Loston, Sr., 54, 137 Highway 668, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on October 24, 2014 at 3:35 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving under suspension. No bail is set.

 

Florencio Arias, Jr., 45, 4003 Allison Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on October 25, 2014 at 2:26 am for disturbing the peace and flight from an officer. A deputy investigating a complaint of a disturbance at a business on Highway 182 in Amelia made contact with a subject in a vehicle. After the deputy identified himself, the subject put the vehicle in drive and left the parking lot. The deputy stopped the vehicle on Highway 182 in Morgan City and identified the driver as Arias. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Arias caused a disturbance at the business. Arias was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was later released on a $1,000 bond.

 

Shazia Gaudet, 24, 130 Judy Lane Lot #8, Patterson, LA was arrested on October 25, 2014 at 9:39 am for domestic abuse battery. A deputy investigating a complaint of a disturbance in the Patterson area learned that Gaudet punched and scratched a male victim during an argument. Gaudet was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Joseph James, 33, Franklin, LA was additionally charged with entering contraband into a penal institution (possession) on October 25, 2014 at 10:51 am. While moving an inmate at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a jailer located a cell phone on his person. James remains incarcerated.

 

Shane Louviere, 59, 104040 Highway 167, Abbeville, LA was arrested on October 25, 2014 at 2:25 pm for second degree battery. A deputy investigating a complaint of a battery learned that Louiviere punched a male victim repeatedly during an argument at a location in the area of Bayou Blue. The victim received medical treatment at Franklin Foundation Hospital and was later released. Louviere was transported to the parish jail for booking. Louviere was released on a $14,000 bond.

 

Chandler Williams, 24, 404 Williams Street Lot #2, Patterson, LA was arrested on October 25, 2014 at 12:27 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of failure to use a seatbelt and failure to honor written promise to appear. A deputy conducting a warrants check during the booking of Williams discovered the active warrant for his arrest. No bail is set.

 

Mark Buteaux, 46, 128 Shady Grove, Patterson, LA was arrested on October 26, 2014 at 4:14 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving while intoxicated. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area was approached by Buteaux who asked the deputy for a ride. The deputy subsequently learned of the active warrant for his arrest. Buteaux was transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.

 

Catlin N. Brooks, 19, 108 Coushatta Drive, Charenton, LA was arrested on October 26, 2014 at 7:56 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace. With the assistance of an officer from the Chitimacha Police Department, a deputy located Brooks at her residence on the warrant. Bail is set at $500.

 

Anson T. Paul, 37, 407 Liner Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 26, 2014 at 10:19 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy travelling on Iberia Street in Franklin observed Paul inside a vehicle. The deputy knew that Paul was wanted on the active warrants and conducted a traffic stop. Paul was transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.

 

Gene B. Butts, 27, 11319 Old Jeanerette Road, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on October 26, 2014 at 5:29 pm on the following warrants:

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of disturbing the peace and remaining were forbidden

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal trespassing

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of Schedule I drugs

A deputy located Butts at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. No bail is set.
