Arrest Report October 21, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

                                        

Dillon Burgess, 20, 771 Deforest Brown Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 20, 2014 at 5:54 pm on the following charges:

- Improper lane usage

- Possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance

- Possession of Schedule I (synthetic cannabinoids) with intent to distribute

- Obstruction of justice

- Introduction of contraband into a penal institution

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana

Jalon Jenkins, 22, 120 Yellow Bayou Road, Centerville, LA was arrested on October 20, 2014 at 5:53 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, illegal use, possession, or control of weapons in a crime of violence or controlled dangerous substance, illegal carrying of concealed weapons, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division were patrolling the Centerville area when they observed a vehicle travel over the centerline of LA Highway 317 several times. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Burgess, and a passenger, Jenkins. During the investigation, detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located a handgun. Detectives also discovered that both subjects were wanted on warrants. Both subjects were transported to the parish jail for booking. During transport, Burgess attempted to conceal two small bags of synthetic cannabinoids under the seat of the police unit. And, after entering the jail facility, a third small bag of the illegal drug was located on Burgess. No bail is set. Jenkins’ bail is set at $10,000.

 

Rebecca Johnson, 56, 1405 First Street Patterson, LA was arrested on October 21, 2014 at 2:41 am for the following offenses:

- Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute

- Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute

- Possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance

- Possession of drug paraphernalia

Robert Johnson, Sr., 54, 1405 First Street Patterson, LA was arrested on October 21, 2014 at 2:41 am for the following offenses:

- Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute

- Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute

- Possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance

- Possession of drug paraphernalia

Artey Foulcard, 36, 620 Carl C. Foulcard Drive Franklin, LA was arrested on October 21, 2014 at 2:41 am for possession of marijuana, 2nd offense, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Narcotics Detectives executed a search warrant at 1405 First Street in Patterson locating a bag of marijuana along with several bags of cocaine, items utilized in the cooking of crack cocaine (whisk and measuring cup), digital scales, and a firearm. Following the investigation, two residents, Robert Johnson and Rebecca Johnson, along with another subject at the location, Foulcard, were transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set. These arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by SMPSO narcotics detectives and the Franklin Police Department. The search warrant was executed with the assistance of the Patterson, Berwick, and Morgan City Police Departments.

 

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 41 complaints and reports the following arrests from teh Uniformed Patrol Division:

 

Travis Boatman, 34, 714 Carl C. Foulcard Drive, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 20, 2014 at 12:57 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family and on a warrant for failure to appear for interview at the office of the district attorney. A deputy located Boatman at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin on the warrant. No bail is set.

 

Brent Dalton, 33, 105 Sidney Jo Lane, Berwick, LA was arrested on October 20, 2014 at 2:39 pm on two warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. Dalton turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville on the warrants. Bail is set at $200,000.

 

Kyle Cedotal, 17, 840 Shell Beach Road, Pierre Part, LA was arrested on October 20, 2014 at 4:33 pm for theft of goods.

Dillon Sanchez, 17, 36300 LA Highway 69, White Castle, LA was arrested on October 20, 2014 at 4:33 pm for theft of goods.

A deputy investigating a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista obtained video surveillance footage f Cedatol and Sanchez working together to remove items from packaging and conceal the goods in an attempt to steal the items. Both subjects were released on summonses to appear in court on January 26, 2015.

 

Brendan Murphy, 57, 50 Fernwood Drive, Houma, LA was arrested on October 21, 2014 at 4:13 am for disturbing the peace (intoxication). A deputy responding to a complaint of a suspicious person, made contact with Murphy who had parked his vehicle at a business on Highway 182 in Amelia. While speaking with Murphy, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and also observed Murphy to be swaying from side to side where he stood. Following an investigation, the deputy transported Murphy to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $500.
