Arrest Report - January 3, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last holiday weekend reporting period (Friday-Tuesday), the Sheriff’s Office responded to 192 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

CORRECTIONS DIVISION

 

Vivian Francis, 28, 1111 Dora Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 29, 2017 at 10:40 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license, improper child restraint, and operating a vehicle with an obstructed windshield. Francis was also booked on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional deputy located the active warrants for Francis. Francis was released on a $2,000 bond.

 

Summer Billiot, 32, 208 Mallard Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 31, 2017 at 12:53 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of theft of goods and remaining where forbidden. Billiot was also booked on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of theft of goods, remaining where forbidden, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, and resisting an officer (providing false information). During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional deputy located the active warrants for Billiot’s arrest. Bail is set at $10,000.

 

 

UNIFORMED PATROL SECTION

 

Terry Kennerson, 28, 1209 Canal Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 29, 2017 at 9:11 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy located Kennerson at his residence on the warrant and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $7,302.20.

 

Milton Green, Jr., 31, 607 Willow Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 29, 2017 at 12:03 pm for possession of Schedule I (marijuana). A deputy working at a residence on 8th Street in Franklin came into contact with Green and smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the location. The deputy received consent to search Green and located marijuana in his pants pocket. Green was released on a summons to appear in court on March 7, 2018.

 

Elmer Galeas, 26, 112 Beau Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 29, 2017 at 12:23 pm for violating the parish leash law. A deputy working in the area of Beau Lane observed a dog running loose in the area and identified the owner of the animal as Galeas. Galeas was released on a summons to appear in court on March 7, 2018.

 

Tiffany Remedies, 28, 110 Kellers Lane, Ricohoc, LA was arrested on December 29, 2017 at 2:31 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of Schedule I (MDMA). A deputy located Remedies at her residence on the warrant and transported her to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Frank Lombas, Jr., 43, 134 Kellers Lane, Ricohoc, LA was arrested on December 29, 2017 at 3:55 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of taking or possessing over limit or undersized freshwater gamefish. A deputy located Lombas at his residence on the warrant and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Lombas was released on a $1,500 bond.

 

Tyler Rogers, 23, 110 Lagonda Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 29, 2017 at 4:08 pm for violation of the parish leash law. A deputy responded to an animal complaint on Lagonda Road and found evidence that a dog belonging to Rogers was running loose. Rogers was released on a summons to appear in court on March 7, 2018.

 

Christian Callender, 18, 420 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 29, 2017 at 8:15 am on a Justice of the Peace warrant for theft of goods. A deputy located Callender at his residence on the warrant and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Callender was released on a $1,000 bond.

 

Jordan Zirlott, 21, 103 Michael Street, Centerville, LA was arrested on December 30, 2017 at 12:24 am for stop signs and yield signs (violation), possession of Schedule I (marijuana), and possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on the service road at LA Highway 317. The deputy then observed the vehicle drive through a stop sign without stopping. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Zirlott. While speaking with her, the deputy smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Through the course of the traffic stop investigation, the deputy recovered a bag of marijuana and a pack of cigars. Zirlott was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Zirlott was released on a $3,750 bond.

 

Loreal Miller, 30, 203 Labau Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on December 30, 2017 at 9:30 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt of court, failure to yield when turning left, and failure to honor written promise to appear. A deputy located Miller at her residence on the warrant and transported her to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Miller was released on a $350 bond.

 

Marc Duhon, 30, 705 Cynthia Lane, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 30, 2017 at 9:57 am on a warrant for failure to appear for a drug court status conference and failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. A deputy located Duhon at his residence on the warrant and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $100,000.

 

Merlin Venable, 54, 1064 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, LA was arrested on December 30, 2017 at 10:04 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of failure to maintain automobile liability insurance. A deputy located Venable at his residence on the warrant and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Venable was released on a $1,000 bond.

 

Floiran Santos, 43, 801 Waterworks Road, Amelia, LA was arrested on December 30, 2017 at 10:30 am on a warrant for aggravated battery, illegal possession of stolen things, and aggravated assault with a firearm. On December 16, 2017, a deputy responded to a call for service regarding a disturbance on West Syls Lane in Amelia. The deputy collected evidence that Santos produced a handgun and struck a male victim with the weapon during an argument between the two. The deputy found that the handgun was reported as stolen. The deputy obtained a warrant for Santos’ arrest. Another deputy located Santos at his residence on the warrant and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Santos was released on a $16,000 bond.

 

Jolene Melancon, 36, 201 Highway 182 E, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 31, 2017 at 12:06 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt of court, speeding, and failure to honor written promise to appear. Melancon turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City. A deputy transported her to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Melancon was released on a $365 bond.

 

Amber Lovell, 30, 1803 Rose Street Lot #3, Berwick, LA was arrested on December 31, 2017 at 12:30 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of Schedule I drugs. A deputy located Lovell at her residence on the warrant and transported her to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

John Whitten, Jr., 35, 9810 E Park Avenue, Houma, LA was arrested on January 1, 2018 at 11:04 pm for improper lane usage and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. A deputy traveling in the Patterson area observed a vehicle weaving between lanes and onto the shoulder of the roadway. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Whitten. The deputy smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the pick-up truck. The deputy also observed that Whitten showed other signs of impairment. The deputy conducted a standardized field sobriety test. Whitten performed the test poorly. The deputy transported Whitten to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Whitten was released on a $2,750.

 

Whitney Hines, 28, 116 Ross Lane, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 1, 2018 at 3:18 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt of court, speeding, operating a vehicle with expired motor vehicle inspection, and failure to honor written promise to appear. A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Garden City area of LA Highway 182 found that the driver, Hines, had an active warrant for her arrest. Hines was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Hines was released on a $445 bond.

 

Jayce LeBlanc, 20, 1812 Highway 182 E, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 1, 2018 at 7:26 pm for theft. A deputy investigating a complaint of a possible theft in Bayou Vista collected evidence that LeBlanc left a store property with a motorized shopping cart. LeBlanc was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. LeBlanc was released on a $2,500 bond.

 

Jacoby Chevalier, 32, 271 Grandwood #1, Patterson, LA was arrested on January 2, 2018 at 6:28 pm for the following offenses:

  • Driver must be licensed
  • Reckless operation with an accident
  • Criminal damage to property
  • Domestic abuse battery (child endangerment law)

Deputies investigating a complaint of hit and run driving collected evidence that Chevalier drove off the roadway on US Highway 90 in the Patterson area and struck a stop sign causing damage to the vehicle he was operating. The vehicle did not belong to Chevalier. Deputies also learned that Chevalier did not have a license to drive. During the investigation, deputies found evidence that Chevalier pushed a female victim in the presence of a small child. Chevalier was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

 

Jacoby Paul, 29, 118 Baptiste Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on December 29, 2017 at 10:25 am on a warrant for possession of Schedule I (marijuana), violation of a uniform controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone), and illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of persons under the age of 17. Narcotics detectives located Paul at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin on the warrant. Paul was released on a summons to appear in court on March 7, 2018.

 

Henry Adams, Jr., 44, 6940 LA Highway 182, Centerville, LA was arrested on December 31, 2017 at 3:16 pm for criminal trespass. A narcotics detective responded to a complaint of trespassing on private property north of Wilson’s Boat Landing in the Patterson area. The detective collected evidence that Adams was knowingly running his deer dogs onto private property. Adams was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Adams was released on a $1,000 bond.

 

Lenzy McDaniel, 21, 212 Easy Street, St. Joseph, LA was arrested on January 1, 2018 at 7:56 pm for the following offenses:

  • Possession of Schedule II (crack cocaine) with intent to distribute
  • Possession of Schedule I (marijuana) with intent to distribute (over 500 grams)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of persons under the age of 17

Criminal Investigation Section detectives investigating a disturbance and fight that occurred on Easy Street in St. Joseph obtained a search warrant for a vehicle belonging to McDaniel and located marijuana bagged in a manner consistent with the street level sale of the substance. Narcotics detectives estimate the street value of the marijuana to be over $11,600. Detectives also located 3 pieces of crack cocaine and items related to illegal drug sales. McDaniel was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $109,000. The fight remains under investigation at this time.
