Arrest Report - December 21, 2017

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

PATROL SECTION

 

Phyllis Smith, 47, 314 Sorrell Road, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on December 20, 2017 at 2:19 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of child desertion. A deputy investigating a separate complaint made contact with Smith and located the active warrant for her arrest. Smith was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Smith was released on a $500 bond.

 

Tayler Davis, 19, 2726 Allain Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on December 20, 2017 at 8:22 pm for remaining where forbidden. A deputy responded to a call for service regarding trespassing on a property in the Patterson area. The deputy spoke with the subjects involved and found that Davis went into a home after being told by a deputy that he was not to return to the location. Davis was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $500.

 

Devin Toups, 19, 288 Oregon Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on December 20, 2017 at 9:29 pm for violation of a protective order. A deputy investigated a possible violation of a protective order. The deputy collected evidence that Toups attempted to contact a female subject in violation of active court orders. Toups was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Chad Toups, 43, 116 Doris Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on December 21, 2017 at 2:06 am for vagrancy and criminal trespass. Deputies conducting patrols on foot in the early morning hours in Amelia observed Toups outside of a residence. Deputies found that Toups was trespassing on the property. Toups was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $1,250.
