Arrest Report - November 3, 2017

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 47 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

CORRECTIONS DIVISION

Katie McKee, 19, 108 Landreaux Street, Thibodaux, LA was arrested on October 31, 2017 at 11:11 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. A correctional deputy transported McKee from the Morgan City Police Department to the St. Mary parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant for booking. Bail is set at $10,000.

Traci Burke, 30, 1105 Lee Charles Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 31, 2017 at 12:56 pm on a warrant for telephone harassment. Deputies investigating complaints of harassment found evidence that Burke repeatedly called and texted the victim despite being told to stop by a deputy. Burke turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center after learning about the warrant for her arrest. Burke was released on a $750 bond. 

 

UNIFORMED PATROL SECTION 

Brent Bridges, 32, 132 Vaughn Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on November 2, 2017 at 12:31 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of Narcos, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription. A deputy investigating a separate complaint of a disturbance in Ricohoc made contact with Bridges and located the active warrant for his arrest. Bridges was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $10,000. 

Colby Hutton, 17, 120 Foxglove Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 2, 2017 at 8:19 pm for domestic abuse battery and operating off-road vehicles on the roadway. A deputy investigating a report of a battery observed Hutton riding a dirt bike on Foxglove Drive. The deputy also found evidence that Hutton struck a male victim during an argument. Hutton was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set. 

Celine Chicola, 20, 411 Dulles Drive, Lafayette, LA was arrested on November 2, 2017 at 10:10 pm for the following offenses:

  • No license plate light
  • Expired inspection sticker
  • Stolen license plate
  • Possession of stolen property
  • Expired registration
  • Operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license
  • No motor vehicle insurance

A deputy observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on US Highway 90 with no license plate light. The deputy conducted a traffic stop in the Jeanerette area and identified the driver as Chicola. While speaking with her, the deputy found that the license plate displayed on the vehicle was reported stolen out of Lafayette and that Chicola’s driver’s license was suspended. Following the investigation, Chicola was released on a summons to appear in court on February 7, 2018.

 

Robert Martin, 23, 117 Collins Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on November 3, 20147 at 12:44 am for speeding and no motor vehicle insurance. A deputy observed a vehicle speeding 70 miles per hour in a posted 55 miles per hour zone on LA Highway 182 in Baldwin. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the driver, Martin. The deputy found that Martin was driving the vehicle without insurance. Martin was released on a summons to appear in court on February 7, 2018.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION 

Jericho Billington, 24, 105 Jordin Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 2, 2017 at 2:51 pm for possession of Schedule I (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Narcotics detectives and the K-9 Unit were patrolling Berwick when they observed a vehicle traveling at 40 miles per hour in a posted 30 miles per hour zone on the LA Highway 182 bridge. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and identified a passenger as Billington. Detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located marijuana and several items of drug paraphernalia belonging to Billington. Billington was released on a summons to appear in court on February 7, 2018.
