Arrest Report October 7, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 38 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Craig Alexander, 32, 100 North Coulee Road, Baldwin, LA was arrested on October 6, 2014 at 10:41 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy located Alexander at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin on the warrant. Alexander was later released on a $1,400 bond.

 

Richard Giroir, 54, 609 Arenz Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on October 6, 2014 at 4:05 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods. A deputy booking Giroir at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville conducted a standard warrants check and discovered the active warrant for Giroir. No bail is set.

 

Bradley Vincent, 33, 4759 Earl Gros Drive Unit #134, Baton Rouge, LA was arrested on October 6, 2014 at 6:34 pm on a warrant for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and disturbing the peace (alarming the public). A deputy transported Vincent from the Lafayette parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. The warrant stems from an April 2013 investigation of a complaint of gun shots heard in the James Street area of Siracusa. While responding to the complaint, the deputy received information from Morgan City Police regarding a subject possibly involved in the incident. The deputy made contact with Vincent and learned that he and another subject left the Siracusa area at a high rate of speed while firing a weapon from the vehicle. Morgan City Police located a handgun in the vehicle in which Vincent was travelling. No bail is set.

 

Jerry Tucker, 52, 1637 Hudson Avenue, Basile, LA was arrested on October 6, 2014 at 6:35 pm on a warrant for aggravated incest. A deputy transported Tucker from the Basile Police Department to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. In August of 2014, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division began an investigation into a complaint of aggravated incest that occurred in 2011. During the course of the investigation, the detective assigned to the case learned that Tucker inappropriately touched a female victim on multiple occasions at a residence in Ricohoc. The victim was 11 years old at the time the molestations occurred. No bail is set.

 

Joseph E. Brown, 31, 212 Sylvester Avenue, Raceland, LA was arrested on October 6, 2014 at 7:16 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple criminal damage to property. During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a deputy conducted a warrants check and discovered the two active warrants for Brown. No bail is set.

 

 

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

                                                   

Eddie Elliott, 37, 2202 Government Street, Baton Rouge, LA was arrested on October 6, 2014 at 5:58 pm for the following offenses:

- Possession of marijuana

- Possession of drug paraphernalia

- Possession of a firearm presence of a controlled dangerous substance

- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

- Transactions involving drug proceeds

Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division received information regarding illegal drug activity in a room at a motel located on Highway 182 in Morgan City. Detectives made contact with Elliott and received consent to search the room. Detectives located a bag of marijuana, a digital scale, a handgun, and $458.00 in cash (US currency). Detectives reviewed Elliott’s criminal history and learned that he had a prior drug conviction for possession of Xanax and was also convicted of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. Elliott was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
