Arrest Report October 6, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 135 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Alexander P. Pousson, 34, 123 Ernie Lane, Ricohoc, LA was arrested on October 3, 2014 at 11:57 am for theft and simple criminal damage to property.

Tony L. Brooks, 53, 114 Ernies Lane #16, Ricohoc, LA was arrested on October 3, 2014 at 12:03 pm for theft.

A deputy investigating a complaint of theft from a residence on Ernie’s Lane made contact with Pousson and Brooks and identified them as the subjects who took two air conditioning units from the property. During the theft, the AC’s and the yard of the residence were damaged. Both men were transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Veronica Lynch, 39, 723 Arlington Street Lot #3, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on October 3, 2014 at 7:03 pm for theft of goods.

Julia Glynn, 23, 723 Arlington Street Lot #3, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on October 3, 2014 at 7:03 pm for theft of goods.

A deputy responded to complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Lynch and Glynn were seen concealing items in a stroller. The women then attempted to leave the store without paying for the items. Lynch and Glynn were released on summonses to appear in court on January 26, 2015.

 

William Stevens, Jr., 51, 142 Stevens Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 4, 2014 at 2:45 am for driving while intoxicated. A deputy responded to a complaint of a crash that occurred at a business on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that the driver of a vehicle, identified as Stevens, struck an unoccupied parked vehicle. While speaking with Stevens, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. The deputy also observed that Stevens’ speech was slurred and that he was unsteady on his feet. Following the investigation, Stevens was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $3,500. Stevens was later transported to another facility.

 

Darrell K. Jackson, 19, 2436 Highway 318, Sorrel, LA was arrested on October 4, 2014 at 4:45 pm for unauthorized use of a vehicle and hit and run driving. A deputy conducting an investigation into a complaint of unauthorized use of a moveable identified Jackson as a suspect took the vehicle and crashed into a telephone pole on Chitimacha Trail in Charenton. The deputy located Jackson at his residence and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin to continue the investigation. While speaking with the deputy, Jackson admitted to the crash and to taking the vehicle without permission. The deputy transported Jackson to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $3,000.

 

Nathaniel Menard, 21, 108 Choctaw Road, Charenton, LA was arrested on October 4, 2014 at 8:14 pm for the following offenses:

- Maximum speed limit

- Flight from an officer

- Reckless operation of a vehicle

- Driving under suspension

- Motorcycle endorsement required

A deputy working radar detail on Highway 182 observed a motorcycle travelling at 80 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone. The deputy initiated a traffic stop. The operator of the motorcycle accelerated the vehicle and began to pass other vehicles causing one vehicle to run off of the roadway. Upon nearing the intersection of the Adeline bridge approach, the driver of the motorcycle stopped and was detained by the deputy pending further investigation. The driver was identified as Menard and was subsequently transported to the parish jail for booking. Menard was later released on a $4,750 bond.

 

Williams Bollard, 31, 319 Charlotte Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on October 5, 2014 at 1:36 am for reckless operation of a vehicle. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Universe Street and failing to stop or signal prior to pulling onto Highway 90. The deputy initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver identified as Bollard. Following an investigation, Bollard was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was later released on a summons to appear in court on January 26, 2015.

 

Patti Malloy, 37, 5312 LA Highway 182, Patterson, LA was arrested on October 5, 2014 at 11:47 pm for domestic abuse battery. A deputy was dispatched to Teche Regional Medical Center in reference to a possible battery. During the course of the investigation, the deputy located Malloy at her residence. The deputy learned that Malloy became angry and struck a male victim in the face with a cell phone causing an injury to his eye. Malloy was subsequently transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
