Arrest Report - October 2, 2017

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the 72-hour weekend reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 117 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Mary Guidry, 55, 400 Vining Lane, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 29, 2017 at 10:48 am for disturbing the peace (offensive language).

 

Kristy Davis, 37, 124 Natalie Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 29, 2017 at 10:48 am for disturbing the peace (offensive language).

 

A deputy investigating a report of harassment in Patterson found that Guidry and Davis were cursing at each other causing a disturbance in the neighborhood. Both subjects were released on summonses to appear in court on December 1, 2017.

 

Anthony Douglas, 48, 537 Park Avenue, New Iberia, LA was arrested on September 29, 2017 at 8:01 pm for speeding and operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle observed speeding 72 miles per hour in a posted 55 miles per hour zone on LA Highway 182 in Baldwin. The deputy spoke with the driver, Douglas, and found that he was driving with a suspended license. Douglas was released on a summons to appear in court on December 1, 2017.

 

Millette Robinson, 52, 204 Chennault Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 30, 2017 at 3:22 am for speeding and operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle observed speeding 59 miles per hour in a posted 45 miles per hour zone on US Highway 90 in Bayou Vista. The deputy spoke with the driver, Robinson, and found that he was driving with a suspended license. Robinson was released on a summons to appear in court on December 1, 2017.

 

Tarvia Collins, 33, 400 West 15th Street, Port Arthur, TX was arrested on September 30, 2017 at 3:53 am for speeding. A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle observed speeding 80 miles per hour in a posted 45 miles per hour zone on Ralph Darden Memorial Parkway in Baldwin. Following the traffic stop investigation, the driver, Collins, was released on a summons to appear in court on December 1, 2017.

 

Marvin Henderson, 80, 29822 Joe Albin Road, Livingston, LA was arrested on September 30, 2017 at 4:07 pm for operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. A deputy responded to call from a motorist reporting a reckless driver on US Highway 90 in the Jeanerette area. The deputy located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the Franklin area. The deputy spoke with the driver, Henderson, and found that he was driving with a suspended license. Henderson was released on a summons to appear in court on December 1, 2017.

 

Gerard Peterson, 56, 203 Cirus Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 30, 2017 at 11:30 pm for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, headlights required, possession of (open) container of alcohol in motor vehicles, and possession of Schedule I (marijuana). A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with only one working headlight on LA Highway 182 in Franklin. The deputy spoke with the driver, Peterson, and smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. The deputy also observed a pill bottle inside the vehicle near Peterson. While speaking with Peterson about the bottle, he dumped out its contents which included a marijuana cigarette. Continuing the investigation, the deputy also found an open container of beer inside the truck Peterson was driving. The deputy performed a standardized field sobriety test. Peterson conducted the test poorly. Peterson later registered a 0.110g% blood alcohol concentration on a breath test. The deputy transported Peterson to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Peterson was released on a $5,250 bond.

 

2 juvenile males both ages 16 of Bayou Vista, LA were arrested on October 1, 2017 at 10:08 am for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and ungovernable juvenile. A deputy investigated a report of subjects entering into a shed without the owner’s permission in Bayou Vista. The subjects were identified as juveniles. Following the investigation, the juveniles were charged with the crime and released to guardians pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Ferrin Lewis, 3595 Thomas Drive #5, Houma, LA was arrested on October 1, 2017 at 2:21 pm for theft by shoplifting. A deputy investigating a report of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista collected evidence that Lewis concealed items in his pockets and attempted to leave the store without paying for the goods. Lewis was released on a summons to appear in court on December 1, 2017.

 

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that the Narcotics Section made the following arrests:

Edwin Calloway, 36, 122 Todd Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on September 29, 2017 at 5:48 pm for the following offenses:

  • Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute
  • Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor
  • Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)
  • Warrant for possession of Schedule I (marijuana) with intent to distribute, Possession of Schedule IV (clonazepam), possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile, violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone), and possession of drug paraphernalia

Narcotics detectives went to Calloway’s residence to serve the warrant for his arrest. Detectives received consent to search a vehicle at the location and found individually packaged bags of methamphetamine. The warrant charges were the result of an investigation into illegal drug activity at the residence. Detectives conducted a search warrant at the address on September 21, 2017 and located multiple bags of marijuana, clonazepam pills, and various items of drug paraphernalia. Calloway was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Michael Bodin, 35, 5511 Villier Drive, Lydia, LA was arrested on October 1, 2017 at 11:35 pm for the following offenses:

  • Reckless operating of a motor vehicle
  • Obstruction of justice
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • No proof of insurance

A narcotics detective working on LA Highway 668 observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and initiated a traffic stop. The driver failed to pull over and accelerated away from the detective. The detective followed the vehicle onto Pepper Road where he observed the driver crossing over the center line. The vehicle then came to a stop. The detective detained the driver and identified him as Bodin. During the subsequent investigation, the detective located a glass pipe used to smoke methamphetamine inside the vehicle. Bodin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
