Arrest Report - August 8, 2017

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Javantre Jackson, 22, 2135 Becnel Street, Franklin, LA was additionally charged on August 7, 2017 for simple assault. A deputy investigated a complaint on August 5, 2017 and found evidence that Jackson sent threatening text messages to a female victim. Jackson was taken into custody earlier on August 7th on a Franklin Police Department warrant and had been booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center when the additional charge was filed. No bail is set.

 

Saul Garcilazo, 17, 140 Todd Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on August 7, 2017 at 6:04 pm on a warrant for criminal mischief and criminal trespass. A deputy investigating a July 27th complaint of trespassing at a residence on Hotard Lane learned that several residents in the area had seen a male subject walking through properties and looking in the windows of vehicles. Through investigation, the deputy identified the subject as Garcilazo and obtained a warrant for his arrest. Garcilazo turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City. Garcilazo was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $1,500.

 

Christopher Lovelady, 51, 910 Lawson Street, Crowley, LA was arrested on August 8, 2017 at 4:37 am for speeding (construction zone) and operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. A deputy patrolling US Highway 90 observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the construction zone in the Patterson and Bayou Vista area. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the driver who was identified as Lovelady. The deputy found that Lovelady was driving the truck with a suspended license. Lovelady was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $1,250.

 

 

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that the Narcotics Section made the following arrests:

  

Krislyn Vining, 22, 141 Two Sisters Court, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on August 7, 2017 at 4:06 pm for possession of Schedule I (marijuana) with intent to distribute and transactions involving drug proceeds. Narcotics detectives patrolling US Highway 90 observed a vehicle drive onto the shoulder of the roadway and conducted a traffic stop in Patterson. Detectives spoke with the occupants in the vehicle including Vining who was a passenger. Detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located a backpack containing 2 bags of marijuana. Detectives also collected evidence that Vining sold the illegal drug. Vining was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. During booking, over $400 in cash was found on Vining’s person. No bail is set.

 

Kendyl Russell, 27, 107 Pattie Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on August 7, 2017 at 3:19 pm for possession of Schedule I (marijuana and THC oil) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Narcotics detectives investigating suspected narcotics activity at the residence on Pattie Lane spoke with Russell and received consent to search the location. Detectives found marijuana, containers of THC oil, electronic vaporizers, and other items of drug paraphernalia. Following the investigation, Russell was released on a summons to appear in court on October 23, 2017.
