Arrest Report - July 28, 2017

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 42 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Pamela Melancon, 46, 610 Hubertville Road, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on July 27, 2017 at 7:22 am for no license plate, no motor vehicle insurance, no driver’s license, and expired motor vehicle inspection. A deputy patrolling Baldwin observed a vehicle with no visible license plate on LA Highway 182 and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy spoke with the driver, Melancon, and found that she was operating the vehicle without a license plate, insurance, or driver’s license. Melancon was released on a summons to appear in court on October 11, 2017.

 

Curtis Fuselier, 28, 354 Easy Street, Franklin, LA was additionally charged on July 27, 2017 at 7:59 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, operating a vehicle with an expired driver’s license, careless operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to honor written promise to appear. Fuselier was incarcerated at the St. Mary parish Law Enforcement Center when a correctional officer located the active warrant. No bail is set.

 

Gerald Booker, Jr., 27, 44257 Fern Street, Hammond, LA was arrested on July 27, 2017 at 1:00 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of improper lane usage and operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located the active warrant for Booker. No bail is set.

 

D’Andre Gabriel, 24, 1154 Irish Bend Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on July 27, 2017 at 1:17 pm on an Iberia Parish warrant for failure to appear on the charges of parking after hours, switched license plate, no motor vehicle insurance, and no driver’s license. A deputy located Gabriel on Bollard Street in Baldwin on the warrant. The deputy transported Gabriel to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and was transferred to the Iberia Parish jail.

 

Chelsey Falgout, 22, 631 Sebby’s Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 27, 2017 at 7:11 pm for domestic abuse battery (child endangerment law). Deputies responded to report of a battery at residence in Bayou Vista. While speaking with the subjects involved, deputies found evidence that Falgout struck a male victim during an argument. Falgout and the victim were each holding a child at the time of the battery. Falgout was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that the Narcotics Section made the following arrests:

 

Freddie Sellers, Jr., 27, 3026 Keith Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 27, 2017 at 5:23 pm for the following offenses:

  • Possession of Schedule I (marijuana)
  • Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine)
  • Possession of Schedule II (cocaine)
  • Possession of Schedule II (Adderall)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of Schedule IV (Xanax)

Narcotics detectives and Berwick Police conducted an investigation into possible illegal drug activity at a residence on Jones Street in Berwick. Deputies observed a vehicle leave the location and stopped the vehicle. Detectives received consent to search Sellers, a passenger in the vehicle, and located a bag of cocaine, pills, and a bag of marijuana. Detectives also found 2 bags of methamphetamine where Sellers was seated in the vehicle. Following the investigation, Sellers was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
