Arrest Report - July 27, 2017

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Krystian Castille, 27, 207 Grey Eagle Road, Charenton, LA was arrested on July 26, 2017 at 10:01 am for violation of the parish leash law. A deputy was dispatched to a complaint of a dog bite that occurred on Grey Eagle Road. The deputy found that the complainant had not been bitten, but that 2 dogs were running loose property in violation of the parish leash law and went onto a private property. The deputy identified the caretaker for the animals as Castille. She was released on a summons to appear in court on October 11, 2017.

 

Steve Legnon, 24, 130 Legnon Court, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 26, 2017 at 2:10 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of hit and run driving. Legnon turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Legnon was released on a $3,500 bond.

 

Perry Richard, 28, 205 Camolethill Drive, Youngsville, LA was arrested in July 26, 2017 at 1:20 pm on a warrant for possession of Schedule I (synthetic cannabinoids) 2nd offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and abuse of toxic vapors. The warrant was issued following an investigation by Narcotics Section detectives during which synthetic marijuana was found on Richard’s person and drug paraphernalia was located at his residence in Morgan City on N. Third Street. A correctional officer transported Richard from the Lafayette Parish jail to the to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Bail is set at $700.

 

Glen Guthrie, 61, 103 Martin Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 26, 2017 at 12:20 pm on a warrant for domestic abuse battery. The warrant was issued after deputies responded to a residence in Patterson, in regards to a physical altercation, on July 22, 2017. Deputies learned that the Guthrie pushed the female victim, causing her to hit a table. The victim sustained a fractured hip as a result of the battery. A warrant was issued for Gurthrie’s arrest. A deputy located Guthrie at a residence in Patterson, and transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. Guthrie was released on a $2,500 bond.

 

Michael Gonzales, 29, 1110 Ditch Avenue, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 26, 2017 at 7:07pmon a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charges of Resisting an Officer and Disturbing the Peace (offensive words). Gonzales turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City. A deputy transported Gonzales to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set for $750.

 

John Crappell, 43, 606 Teche Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 26, 2017 at 8:41pm for simple assault. Deputies working the Bayou Vista area responded to a residence on Teche Road for a disturbance. It was learned that Crappell made verbal threats on the lives of two victims. Crappell was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center. Bail is set for $1,000.

Kevin Diggs, 39, 157 Roy’s Lane, Centerville, LA was arrested on July 26, 2017 at 7:04pm on the charges of:

  • Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute
  • Possession of Schedule II (hydrocodone) with intent to distribute
  • Possession of Schedule IV (Xanax) with intent to distribute
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Transactions Involving Drug Proceeds
  • Violation of the parish vicious animal ordinance

Heidi Migues, 35, 157 Roy’s Lane, Centerville, LA was arrested on July 26, 2017 at 7:04pm on the charges of:

  • Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Transactions Involving Drug Proceeds

Narcotics detectives executed a no knock search warrant at Diggs’ and Migues’ residence with the assistance of Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division. Detectives located bags of methamphetamine, pills, items of drug paraphernalia, and cash suspected of being derived from drug proceeds. Detectives located a Pitbull belonging to Diggs which was not being kept in compliance with the parish vicious animal ordinance. Diggs and Migues was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
