Arrest Report - June 30, 2017

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 37 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Patricia Jones, 58, 1020 B Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on June 29, 2017 at 8:26 am on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Jones at her residence on the warrant. Jones was released on a summons to appear in court on September 8, 2017.

 

Gregory Jackson, 28, 2475 70th Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA was arrested on June 29, 2017 at 1:24 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A correctional officer transported Jackson from the East Baton Rouge Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $7,345.02.

 

Leroy Charpentier, 56, 2060 LA Highway 317, Franklin, LA was arrested on June 29, 20147 at 4:31 pm for careless operation of a vehicle with an accident and no motor vehicle insurance. A deputy responded to a single vehicle crash on LA Highway 317 in Centerville. The deputy located a pick-up truck in a ditch by a tree. Through investigation, the deputy learned that the driver, Charpentier, lost control of the vehicle and struck the tree. Charpentier was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries. Continuing the investigation, the deputy found that Charpentier was also operating the vehicle without insurance. The deputy made contact with Charpentier again at the hospital in reference to the crash investigation. Charpentier was released on a summons to appear in court on September 8, 2017.
