Arrest Report - June 29, 2017

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Scott Mayon, 46, 106 Hebert Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on June 28, 2017 at 1:52 pm for criminal damage to property. While on a separate call for service on Hebert Lane, a deputy received a complaint that a vehicle had been damaged. The deputy collected evidence that Mayon struck the victim’s vehicle with a garden hose and dented it. Mayon was released on a

summons to appear in court on September 8, 2017.

 

Jessica Oneal, 34, 113 North Wind Circle, Carencro, LA was arrested on June 28, 2017 at 3:06 pm for operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. A deputy investigating a 2-vehicle crash on US Highway 90 in Patterson found that one of the drivers, Oneal, had a suspended license. Oneal was released on a summons to appear in court on September 8, 2017.

 

Crystal Smothers, 33, 522 Silver Street, New Iberia, LA was arrested on June 28, 2017 at 2:33 pm on a Chitimacha Tribal Police Department warrant for theft.

 

Japhinah Conway, 25, 727 Mixon Street, New Iberia, LA was arrested on June 28, 2017 at 2:35 pm on an Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant for domestic abuse battery.

 

Skyland Washington, 29, 109 Frederick, Street, New Iberia, LA was arrested on June 28, 2017 at 2:34 pm on an Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant for illegal possession of a stolen firearm and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

 

A deputy was dispatched to a request to assist a stranded motorist on Highway 87 in Websterville. While standing by for wrecker service, the deputy spoke with the driver and other occupants in the vehicle. The deputy found that 3 of the occupants, Smothers, Conway, and Washington, had active warrants for their arrest. The 3 subjects were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Smothers was released on a summons to appear in court on September 8, 2017. No bail is set for Washington or Conway.

 

Warren Hebert, III, 47, 307 Cougar Ridge, Lafayette, LA was arrested on June 28, 2017 at 4:25 pm on a warrant for unauthorized use of a moveable. A detective investigating a May 19th report of a possible theft found evidence that Hebert took the victim’s vehicle from a Franklin residence without permission. The detective obtained a warrant for Hebert’s arrest. A correctional officer transported Hebert from the Lafayette Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking on the warrant. No bail is set.

 

Bobby Mouton, 42, 807 Tall Timbers Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 29, 2017 at 4:28 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana. A deputy transported Mouton from the Patterson Police Department to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

The following arrest was made on June 27, 2017. These are additional charges on a 2015 warrant.

Summer Billiot, 32, Bayou Vista, LA was additionally charged on a warrant for theft of goods and remaining where forbidden on June 27, 2017 at 12:59 pm. During booking, a correctional officer located the active warrant for Billiot. The warrant stems from a September 3, 2015 complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. The responding deputy collected evidence that Billiot attempted to return a stolen item for a refund. The deputy also learned that Billiot had been previously banned from the store. Billiot remains incarcerated at the Morgan City Police Department jail.
