Arrest Report - June 19, 2017

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 72-hour weekend reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 127 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

 

Amber Lovell, 29, 1803 Rose Street, Lot 3, Berwick, LA was arrested on June 16, 2017 at 10:58 am for the following offenses:

  • Possession of stolen things
  • Possession of Schedule I (marijuana)
  • Possession of Schedule IV (clonazepam)
  • Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of Schedule I drugs

A deputy responded to a report of a theft from a residence in Bayou Vista. The deputy developed information that Lovell stole a wallet while she was visiting at the victim’s residence. The deputy and Morgan City Police located Lovell at a residence on Duke Street. While at the location, deputies and police found marijuana, clonazepam, and the stolen wallet. Lovell was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Karen Hall, 45, 1023 Talbot Avenue, Thibodaux, LA was arrested on June 16, 2017 at 12:15 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license, operating a vehicle with an unlit license plate, and operating a vehicle without proof of insurance. A correctional officer transported Hall from the Lafourche Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. No bail is set.

 

Troy Perez, 52, 2017 at 303 Carol Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 16, 2017 at 1:01 pm for nonconsensual disclosure of a private image. A deputy received information that a private nude image was posted to a social media account and conducted an investigation. The deputy found evidence that the picture was posted by Perez without the female victim’s consent. Perez was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

John Destefano, 51, 34 South Grand View, Daytona, FL was arrested on June 16, 2017 at 4:15 pm for the following offenses:

  • Possession of Schedule I (marijuana)
  • Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Disturbing the peace (obscene language)

A deputy responded to a report of a suspicious person at St. Mary Plaza in Bayou Vista. Deputies made contact with Destefano outside a business at the shopping center. Deputies found that Destefano was banging on the doors of another nearby business and causing a disturbance in the area. During the arrest, deputies located marijuana, methamphetamine, and items of drug paraphernalia in Destefano’s belongings. Destefano was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Kendrick Gibson, 35, 709 Cypress Lane, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on June 16, 2017 at 11:46 am on a warrant for domestic abuse battery (strangulation) and on a warrant for 2 counts of telephone harassment. A deputy monitoring traffic on US Highway 90 near LA 318 observed a vehicle traveling 58 miles per hour in a posted 45 miles per hour zone. The deputy conducted a traffic stop, identified the driver as Gibson, and located the active warrants for his arrest. The warrant for telephone harassment was issued following a December 14, 2016 investigation into threats being made via phone. The deputy found evidence that Gibson threated the life of the victim and the victim’s family during a phone conversation. The warrant for domestic abuse stems from a December 16, 2016 investigation. The deputy found evidence that Gibson struck a female victim, threw her to the ground, and placed his hands around her neck during an argument at a residence in the Jeanerette area. Gibson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Richard Barrick, III, 35, 215 Saturn Road Lot 6, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 16, 2017 at 6:22 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for a drug court status conference and failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. Barrick was also charged on warrants from the City Court of Morgan City warrants for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and failure to signal a turn. While working a call for service in Bayou Vista, a deputy spoke with Barrick and located the active warrants for his arrest. Barrick was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Ashlyn Gros, 25, 154 Sun Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 17, 2017 at 12:54 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. While patrolling Bayou Vista, a deputy encountered Gros and a male subject walking behind a business off US Highway 90 in Bayou Vista. While speaking with the subjects, the deputy located the active warrant for Gros. Gros was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $1,500.

 

Landon Rodriguez, 36, 313 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 17, 2017 at 2:38 pm for theft od goods. A deputy responded to a report of shoplifting at a business in Bayou Vista. The deputy collected evidence that Rodriguez concealed items and attempted to leave the store without paying for the goods. Rodriguez was released on a summons to appear in court on September 8, 2017.

 

Nerissa Cole, 42, 210 Mission Court, Avondale, LA was arrested on June 17, 2017 at 1:49 pm for speeding and operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. A deputy monitoring traffic on US Highway 90 in Patterson area observed a vehicle traveling 71 miles per hour in a posted 55 miles per hour speed zone. The deputy conducted a traffic stop, identified the driver as Cole, and found that she was driving the vehicle with a suspended license. Cole was released on a summons to appear in court on September 8, 2017.

 

David Aucoin, Jr., 21, 148 Cremo Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 17, 2017 at 4:50 pm on 2 warrants for failure to appear on the charges of possession of Schedule I (drugs). A deputy responding to a separate call for service encountered Aucoin and located the active warrants for his arrest. Aucoin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Spencer Aucoin, II, 46, 1906 Duhon Boulevard, Amelia, LA was arrested on June 17, 2017 at 3:26 pm on a warrant for telephone harassment. The warrant was issued following an investigation into a report received June 7, 2017. The deputy found evidence that Aucoin made threats to a victim via phone. A deputy located Aucoin at his residence on the warrant. Aucoin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Aucoin was released on a $500 bond.

 

Joseph Hebert, Jr., 48, 1008 Live Oak Circle, Breaux Bridge, LA was arrested on June 18, 2017 at 6:36 pm for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, improper lane usage, and possession of an (open) alcoholic container in motor vehicles. A deputy responded to a report of a reckless driver on US Highway 90 in the Baldwin area. The deputy located the vehicle in the Centerville area and observed the truck crossing over the fog line and onto the shoulder of the roadway. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Hebert. After observing several signs of impairment, the deputy administered a standardized field sobriety test. Hebert conducted the test poorly. Hebert registered a 0.229 grams percent blood alcohol concentration on a breath test. During the investigation, the deputy also located an open bottle of vodka inside Hebert’s vehicle. Hebert was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Hebert was released on a $3,250 bond.

 

Patrick Augman, 43, 2012 Burney Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 17, 2017 at 11:27 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a report of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. The deputy collected evidence that Augman left the store without paying for several bottles of liquor. Augman was located at the Morgan City Police Department. Augman was released on a summons to appear in court on September 8, 2017.

 

Cheyenne Aucoin, 22, 8912 Highway 182, Franklin, LA was arrested on June 18, 2017 at 9:49 pm for hit and run driving, careless operation, and no seat belt.

 

James Pierre, Jr., 45, 428 9th Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on June 18, 2017 at 9:07 pm for operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.

 

Deputies investigating a 2 vehicle crash on Highway 182 in Baldwin made contact with Pierre and Aucoin. Deputies found evidence that Aucoin was operating one of the vehicles at the time of the crash and left the scene on foot. Deputies found that Pierre, the driver of the second vehicle, had a suspended driver’s license. Pierre was released on a summons to appear in court on September 8, 2017. Aucoin was transported to an area hospital. Following her release from the medical center, she was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. She was released on a summons to appear in court on September 8, 2017.

 

Heath Ohmer, 29, 121 Justin Lane, Amelia, LA was arrested on June 18, 2017 at 8:21 am for violation of the parish leash law ordinance. A deputy began an investigation into an animal complaint in Amelia on Friday, June 16, 2017. With the assistance of St. Mary Parish Animal Control, 2 dogs that were running loose in the area were caught. The deputy found that 1 of the animals belonged to Ohmer and made contact with him on Sunday, June 18, 2017. Following the investigation, Ohmer was released on a summons to appear in court on September 8, 2017.

 

Justin Singleton, 19, 1008 Irish Bend Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on June 18, 2017 at 1:08 pm for speeding. Singleton was also charged on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a vehicle without a driver’s license, and operating a vehicle with improper headlights. A deputy observed a vehicle traveling 68 miles per hour in a posted 55 miles per hour zone on Highway 317. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the driver, identified as Singleton. During the traffic stop investigation, the deputy located 2 active warrants for Singleton’s arrest. Singleton was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Singleton was released on a $5,250 bond.

 

Carey Montet, II, 39, 1613 Barrow Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on June 18, 2017 at 2:42 pm for domestic abuse battery (child endangerment law). A deputy responded to a report of domestic abuse at a residence in Patterson. The deputy collected evidence that Montet grabbed a female victim by the arm causing a small laceration. 2 juveniles were in the residence at the time the battery occurred. Montet was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Montet was released on a $3,500 bond.

 

Heather Durapau, 39, 1301 First Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 18, 2017 at 2:20 pm on Morgan City Police Department and City Court of Morgan City warrants for failure to signal, possession of Schedule III (buprenorphine), possession of Schedule I (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to appear on the charge of speeding. Durapau is also charged on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy assisting Morgan City Police with serving the warrants arrested Durapau on Arbor Circle in Bayou Vista. Durapau was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
