Arrest Report - June 8, 2017

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 47 complaints and reports the following arrests from the Narcotics Section and Corrections Division:

 

Loveless Willis, 32, 412 South Marigny Circle, Duson, LA was arrested on June 7, 2017 at 4:08 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A correctional officer transported Willis from the Lafayette Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $28,656.57.

 

Oscar Pradencio, 33, 903 Duke Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 7, 2017 at 8:34 pm for the following offenses:

  • Possession of Schedule II (cocaine)
  • Possession of Schedule III (suboxone)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance

Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section accompanied by members of the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division conducted a search warrant at Pradencio’s residence on Duke Street. Narcotics detectives obtained the warrant during an investigation into suspected illegal drug activity taking place there. Detectives found a bag of cocaine, a suboxone strip, digital scales, and other items of drug paraphernalia along with a rifle. The residence is located near a church. Detectives also found that Pradencio has a prior felony drug conviction. Pradencio was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
